Order Tracking

Oh man....I think ours will be the last 2021 being pushed out at this pace. What was your estimate timeline? I was told 12-16 weeks.
I was told 8 weeks and that the truck should be built in April. But as I read more and more on here I started to believe the 12-16. I ordered with blind spot, advanced safety and all that on the truck so it’s probably affected by the chip shortage.

Truck builds must have some sort of allocation by country, state/province or even dealerships that determine priority.

At this rate I’m hoping they don’t build my truck as a 2021 and just give me a 2022.

I got all the safety stuff and my build sheet showed up today.
4/8 ordered
5/5 D1
5/21 D2
5/25 G
5/26 I and build sheet
Loaded rebel. No air suspension or mft. But everything else.

no. they would just use the COVID excuse. my dealer never picks up his phone and never calls back until the next day. We'll see if he calls today. I never started calling until the 1st of April and once a month after that. so you can't say I pester the guy. he told me last time "it will get built". I think he even might have used the word "guaranteed".
I’ve been only calling my dealer for updates every month too.

I wish they would just allow us to use Ram Chat. Privacy shmivacy! Or as others have said, build a damn portal we can punch in our VIN or VON on our own and not bother dealers or Ram Chat.

Oh they can’t buy from here? We don’t accept maple syrup as payment?

Oh, we can buy an vehicle from a US dealer and import it into the country but FCA Canada won’t honour the warranty. Not even for safety recalls. They say bring it back to the US….

Not to mention we’re not even allowed to cross the border right now. Grrr….

Oh, speaking of maple syrup. Everyone needs to stop eating that fake crap. Once you try real maple syrup you’ll never go back! Even the real maple syrup Costco has (Kirkland Signature) is pretty darn good.

But it’s the same company and they’re even building them here anyway!!! The warranty isn’t through the dealer!

Yeah I don’t care what ram chat says, they most DEFINITELY push lower trims through quicker, regardless of features/chips. And then apparently screw over the Canadians :/

I’m pretty sure your dealer would contact you if they were going to offer that.

Got the call from Aaron a few hours ago that something arrived today with my name on it! Only issue is my penfed isn't good due to them no longer offering 0% for 72 months (I would have to opt for the 0% for 48 months). I guess I can't use my email coupon either due to not having it at the time of order? Anyone know of any ways around these issues or anything else I can throw at it for discount while keeping my 0% for 72? At this point after waiting, and the way the market is, I'm not going to have $1000 keep me from buying it, but it sure would be nice to get that back.

Anyway here are some pictures he sent me:

My dealer told me they can add PenFed at the time of delivery and keep the locked in incentives. He actually suggested I wait to get the code so it doesn't expire by the time the truck arrives. But I have heard others say Aaron won't do that.

I was able to use my coupon through Aaron and I didn’t get my coupon until about a week before the truck was delivered.

Where did you order yours from?

Everyone saying they could probably ordered and picked up their truck when 0% 72 months was still active…

I ordered the Sport (Canada Only) too . in January. heading for 6 months . was in D status at the beginning of May. Can't tell ya what its at now. I called the dealership today and they never called back. I was told 8-12 weeks. but with Coof-19 I knew that wouldn't happen. Thought maybe end of April. My patience and understanding is growing thin. seems like RAM wants to be number 2 in Canada . but don't want to do the work.
My dealer told me I moved to D1 today

Hmm, I must not have gotten it. I added the MFT after the initial order, I assumed I'd have to get BUG as well. What do I lose exactly? The tie down rails, the LED lighting and the divider? Do I still have the "divider slots" where I can add one for a small fee if I'd like to sell a kidney? My current truck (2001 F250) only had three of them near the back of the truck, not 10 of them every six inches or so like the RAM with BUG.
Someone just sold some of the rails on this forum - you can get the bed sprayed at Linex and I’ve heard there are some nice after market LED’s somewhere. But check the Mopar site if you still have anything left in your pockets

My take on this subject is our neighbors to the north are just too polite. They can’t help it. It’s their nature. An example of their Ram Chat must always begin with: “ I’m sorry to bother you” then the Ram folks automatically move them to the back of the list because those of us in the lower 48 begin our Ram Chat with “ What’s up *****?”

But it’s the same company and they’re even building them here anyway!!! The warranty isn’t through the dealer!

Too much logic there! Sadly though, same applies for us buying trucks that originally sold in Canada. No warranty coverage, quite a lucrative market in it apparently, judging from some dealers entire used fleet being from Canada.

This is what I was wondering, did you all have the same financing terms (from when you ordered) when you actually purchased the truck? Apparently that is what is causing me to lose out on this $1000. Called the FCA incentives line and they confirmed I cannot use either the penfed or email coupon. I definitely wasn't expecting it, but unless they are singling me out for some reason I guess I have to accept it.

So I I’m in the same situation. If you had told Aaron you were going to use PenFed and he included it on the buyer’s order, then you’d likely be ok using it. I failed to mention it at time of order also. It does suck to lose out on the $1k though.

That would be a little easier to take, but at the time of my order we discussed the penfed coupon and I confirmed to him that I signed up for an account and had to wait the 60 days. So I feel like I did everything correctly, other than not knowing about losing that coupon if the financing options changed.
