Order Tracking

Aaron just called from Mark Dodge and said my truck is ready. 37 days from order to dealer. Now, to ship or fly and drive from NC?
Wow, that was quick. I placed my Rebel order with Aaron on 3/31 and I believe it is still D1 status.

Very nice build - look forward to the pics
My build is very similar to yours with all the safety crap. I am now sorry i chose all that since the chip shortage. That is going to delay the build. Three weeks and waiting on parts. Athough at least i got to order them, they are now not taking orders with those options!

The real problem for me is my commute vs. my trade in value. I put about 100 miles a day on my current truck. Already have 1k over my estimates mileage
I had to trade in my Durango SRT because of the same reasons. I didn't want the trade-in value to drop. I drive a rental now until my truck finally arrives. 14 weeks on Wednesday.

Few weeks of wait will be a distant memory when you're enjoying all the features for hopefully many years!

Big horns are flying out of the factory. Rebels and limited models are really on delay

Those that are moderately-specced, maybe. My BH Lvl2 with safety and jazz hands is on Week 10 in a Shipping status.

Isn’t the rental eating into your trade in profits?

I ordered a 21’. For some reason the Longhorns are all moving along and the rebels are at a standstill. I’m just thinking if they take long enough to gather the parts for my build maybe it will be a 22. Only got another month of production for the 21’s
I would like to know also! I dont see mine the being done until late july or August. But i don't see them building me a 2022 due yto the changes they woll make, and the 22 could look different. Maybr they would contact beforehand? I would love to know, ramchat i am sure could not answer this question.

😂😂😂. I’m sure you are right. Ram chat is like throwing grass up in the wind. They are all over the place with their answers
Yeah, I almost feel like they give random answers sometimes. I asked them if there were any updates since the dealer was telling me it was in D1 even though it was in D, and they said they do not give codes anymore but it's scheduled to be built......

LOL. I'm also in NC (near Winston-Salem). I went with Phillip Olson out in Seattle. (Aaraon was great to deal with, but Phillip beat his numbers by greater than the cost of shipping/driving.)

Between shipping or fly and drive, I chose to fly and drive. Get to know your truck. ;) New Orleans to NC isn't that far, and you've got some great spots to detour to along the way and have some relaxation and fun.

Hi c3k, If you take physical delivery of the RAM in Seattle, do you have to pay Washington sales tax? Or does the dealer have some way of avoiding this? Also, can you get a temporary license that allows you to drive it home to NC? I've been thinking about a "fly and drive" myself, but not sure how this works.

You pay tax for the state/county you live in. Your state’s driver license is all you’ll need. Just as if you rented a car in Washington state. All you’d need is your home state DL.

Yes.

:)

Sales tax will be your state, not theirs. I'm no expert (and fully hope an expert will jump in).

The temp tag will be valid to drive it away.
