Go to ram care, contact us.....click on chat....enter your info including VIN and VON....then they will come on and ask for your address, email, and phone number as they retrieve your build status. The status will be very generic and won't include build codes such as D1 or JS.
So what is your best suggestion for checking on the build codes? No point in me pestering RamCares if they can't tell me.
What do the build codes tell you that Ram Cares doesn’t in plain English? Just curious. Thanks.
Each code tells you the specific status of your build such as frame, paint, inspection, etc. This can be obtained from your dealer. But I have seen a lag time before the status is updated in their system. When I worked at a dealership, I have seen a truck jump from D1 (gate line schedule) to JS (paint) overnight with no codes in between.
You either have to pester your dealer or check with ram care. I check with ram care about every 3 days. I asked my dealer to let me know if he saw any significant change in my build. He is eager to receive the new truck in order to complete the sale and make money.
Not sure if that made it worse or not. Checked into it a few days ago. Was told parts were ordered, not received, up to 12 days. When asked about build time, was told 7-9 weeks. Not sure if that's 12 days+ 7-9 weeks, 7-9 weeks remaining or 7-9 weeks total (from 12/9). When asked for clarification, was told to check back next week.HIt CHAT and put in your information . I was told "the vehicle build process estimate is 7-9 weeks give or take" by Ram Chat. That was two days ago for my order placed on 12/21. So that's probably the generic answer they are told to give people.
I ordered mine on the same day. It's been in D1 for weeks, and originally had a scheduled build date of 12/23, but when I checked w/ RAMchat on Sunday I was told it is still in D1. I've been holding of on getting the $1500 bonus cash from the website, as I don't want it to expire before the truck is available.

Excellent! Yeah, there seems to be massive variations between order and delivery times. No idea why.
