Off-Road Packages - Rebel V. 4x4 Off-Road:

Ok, I went down to the dealer. Couple of things I noticed

With the blackout package, you lose the 4x4 off-road graphics
The photos show the blackout rims

Jared, I will take that off-road package FORCING me to take the FALKEN's EVERY time . . . wish the Spare was the same ! ?
I can just imagine trying to get up some of the soft clay & gravelly-dirt hills with my current Low-Resistance running Street tires on the Jeep G.C. ! ? Oh wait, I HAVE . . . and it AIN'T EASY and sometimes undoable ! Getting Down the slopes isn't the issue usually, but wondering IF I could get back up and out onto the pavement keeps me from trying for fear of having to call for help ! THAT would be VERY embarrassing for a JEEP ! ! ! ;)

I believe the off road package gets you the full sized spare, I don't know whether it's a matching tire or not though, I believe it is.

Thanks . . . I'll just wait to years end - closer to my v6 ordering - to confirm the tire on the off road package spare !

So the off road package on the limited comes with off road tuned shocks. Can anyone explain the difference in terms of ride?

Anyone know which shocks are on the Rebel vs the non-Rebel with Off-Road package? Same shocks on air vs non-air suspension for non-Rebel Off-Road models?
The Rebel only has standard Bilstein shock absorbers

Here is part of a window sticker , I think you get 20” rims for the truck, 18” for the spare

Off–Road Group
275/55R20 OWL All–Terrain Tires
E–Locker Rear Axle
Front Extra HD Shock Absorbers
Front Suspension Skid Plate
Fuel Tank Skid Plate
Full Size Spare Tire
Hill Descent Control
LT275 /65R18C OWL On / Off–Road Tires
Off–Road Decals
Rear Extra HD Shock Absorbers
Steering Gear Skid Plate
Tow Hooks
Transfer Case Skid Plate

I think the only variant with Bilstein shocks is the Rebel. I thank that all other variants use Hitachi shocks from Mexico.

If that's the case, there must be two sets of Hitachi shocks (the standard shocks used on non-Off Road models, and the "extra HD" shocks used on Off Road models). I'm curious to see the parts list.

Anyone know if the off road package kills the active air dam? If i remember correctly the rebel and air suspension equipped vehicles have a fixed air dam?

Yes the Off Road Group kills the active air dam...

Makes sense. I'm still glad I ordered the Off Road Group, just curious.

FYI my Ram off road package truck came with a full size spare and its a Faulken tire

Well that's awesome. I was concerned it would be different

Ill take some photos but there isn't anything on them. I was just underneath the truck too checking for y'all. Everything is just painted black. Springs are black and so are the struts. Oh and yeah I have the off road package prolly should have said that
