So far have only done a few modifications to my truck: S&B CAI, Roll-N-Lock BT488A, Rough Country Steering Box Stabilizer, Boost Auto Switch Backs, Xpel film, Xpel tint and Banks Pedal Monster. Next is a sound system upgrade. Adding two Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12 speakers, in a Fox Acoustics Ram Mega Cab down fire box driven by a R2-1200X1 amp wired to 1 ohm for 1200 watt rms of power, fed by a LC2i-Pro signal processor. Last truck had LC6 processor, a two precision black ice amps - one for doors and one for 10" P3 subs. Absolutely pounded and was clear as a bell. Will be running 0 gauge power wife (OFC) from under the hood to behind seats that will be reduced to 4 gauge for the amp. Will be removing rear deck and factory sub box and mounting amp, processor, etc either under the seat or on back wall depending on what is available and doesn't require drilling into the truck body at all. Should be fun - pure factory look and massive sound. Anyone want to see process and pics as I do this?

Glad you joined here to show these guys some HeftyDuty indulgence.

But we have a site for the HeavyDuty RAMS.

www.HDRAMS.com

Please stick around here...but you will get more specific info at the sister site.

And I sure hope RAM never changes the tow mirrors...now that they have power blind spot mirror they are perfect...guess they could do power flip...but I like the TRADESMAN trim so it would not get it anyways

MegaCab is a great offering the other guys dont have. I am interested to see what happens with it if the HD goes to the bigger crew.

Also seems like the Mega will be a great platform to add all the audio stuff.

Thanks for joining us

Ok, so still waiting on everything to arrive so spent a few minutes today to find a spot to run the 1/0 power wire for my sound system upgrade. This truck has a perfect spot right above the brake pedal and to the left of the steering knuckle. There are two bolts holding a plastic piece that is sealing a roughly 1.5" hole directly through the fire wall! I removed the piece and used a step drill to open a hole for the wire. Was going to use a rubber grommet, but decided on some conduit pieces for the sturdiness and to extend past sharp edges on the interior. I applied rtv to the flange of the 3/4-1/2 reducer to make a liquid tight seal and then sandwiched the OEM part with a coupler from the interior. I assembled it after installing the OEM piece, would recommend doing that before hand! Pain in the rear to get it tight and need a second set of hands otherwise. Once I run the cable through I will tech-flex the power cable and zip tie it nicely. There is an open 5/16 battery post directly in front of where you punch through so will be incredibly easy to attach to the battery. Going to fuse it with a Blue Sea System MRBF Surface mount and a 300 amp block fuse. Compact and shortest possible connection between fuse and power source. More to follow.
