Yes but not relevant for how I use the truck. Makes the bed overall more like a Ridgeline or Taco midsize. Fine feature if you have need of it, just not for me.

Just measured my standard box and it’s 51 1/2” between the wheel wells.

Finally have a truck with an MFT and its a game changer for me, and my truck came with the step

the dealer I purchased from had at least 40 trucks on the lot, and only one with the MFT and I bought it ......

Just measured my standard box and it’s 51 1/2” between the wheel wells.

I was really only guessing the number. Don't have the truck right now. I just know it's plenty wide for plywood and drywall sheets. Might be 4th gens it was actually wider. I just look at it, that once you put those same sheets in a regular box, you just have little tiny spaces on the sides any way. Any thing that fits in those spaces, fits in the Ramboxes.
