Multifunction tailgate not opening

Do a search and you will find a good amount of information on bad batteries and batteries having to be replaced prematurely. You'll also find a fair amount of information on modules not going to sleep etc. and draining the batteries. Some people say if you aren't planning on driving the truck for a few days or longer throw a battery tender on it.

The replacement batteries might not have been charged all the way when new. Depending on how far you drove they might not gotten charged all the way however 11.1 is pretty low. Out of curiosity which battery was down, the main or aux?

I am paranoid about getting stuck someplace with a dead/low battery so I carry a lithium battery jump pack in my truck.
2nd the lithium battery jumper. Haven't had the need for the Ram but did help someone else. There was a point where I would not drive the Ram for a couple weeks. It was a problem and had to keep it on a battery tender. I drive it more often now and do not have any issues. In addition my experience with Mopar batteries has not been good.

Both batteries were at 11.1. After luckily starting, the gauge climbed to 14.9 and slowly reduced 14.5, but stayed there for 10 min. and fell back to 14.1, which is where is should be. I've been checking and both batteries have been holding steady at 12.5 over night for the 2 nights I've checked. Also, when I get back from driving both batteries are at 12.7, with no decline after 15 min. I can't watch it any closer, but have the multi meter on the driver's seat so I continue to check it in the morning. Previously I said there was no service record for anything on my truck. I waited for the service rep that told me that to take a break while I was waiting for my truck. I asked the other guy to print my service record. This is the second time they replaced both batteries. This is why I'm checking every morning. This is a serious problem if it happens again. Remember they are replacing the electrically controlled latches, so that could be the issue to. Time will tell...
