Maps update failure!

UC 5 has free updates. You can search for threads on the forum about it or download it from here and put all files on a USB drive.

I clicked on the Stellantis link above and it only shows 8 map files, not 9. No license agreement either as the instructions say. Whenever I try to download one of the map files, it does one in internet explorer, one in Firefox etc. Makes no sense.

I updated my '22 in March with no issues. The map was dated last fall though. Just checked, there's a new map dated March '23. I probably just missed it...

Correct 8 files.

The last year's update had 9.

I just downloaded them and will update mine, a few exits have new numbers I wonder if they got tagged for updates.
Edit: I am downloading them now. Dog slow sever speeds only getting around 100 KB/s download (I have 1GB fiber) RIP

How do I set my laptop to get them to all download the same way?

Don't know what you're doing.
It's just regular download links it doesn't matter what browser you use, click on each link 1 at a time give it 3 seconds to open, start download, and close then go to the next.

This - I just downloaded all 8 files...I did it recently but these are newer files and I'll update at the end of the week when off duty.

I was finally able to download all 8 map update files to my USB flash drive. I installed the update this afternoon. It took about 35-40 minutes and worked perfect! The new map version is dated 4-7-2023

I successfully updated my maps to 4/7/23. UC 5 12 inch.

Previously it had a 11/21 update.

took almost 40 minutes.

Downloaded all the files from the update website, and put on a 32GB USB stick formatted as 32GB.

If you're not driving, the truck will cut off after 30 minutes in ACC. I just got in the truck after 25 mins, and turned it back on right after it shut off (battery saver).

Worked without a hitch!

I just did the current update as I just missed it as well - dated 07/04/2023 (April). I expect we won't see another update for two years now based on the previous date, but roads don't really change that much, it's just new subdivisions and points of interest, which is why I only update the Garmin GPS in the SUV once a year.

I downloaded the previous version of the map update over a cell phone tethered to my PC and it was painfully slow. Now that we have Starlink I am downloading the latest map update and it is downloading much faster, it will only take minutes instead of hours to download the 8 new files.

I hope the corrections I have sent into TomTom are on the map update. I found so many incorrect Points of Interest in the city I live near, it was unbelievable.
If you find Points of Interest on the maps are not correct, you can create an account with TomTom and update the POI so they will be correct of future maps updates for everyone.

Cool...when did you send the corrections? It takes time to process them so let us know if the corrections are there.

I bought this 2022 on February and started updating maps in March. This is the second map update since I bought the truck.
None of the updates I submitted made it into this latest map update.
Maybe the next update they will be included. It appears there are updates issued every 6 months. The last one was 2022/09 and this latest is 2023/03.
It took about 40 minutes to update the maps in the truck.

Updates you submitted?

Submitting an update to TOMTOM for a map request doesn't really mean it will end up in the RAM version of the maps.
We probably don't get the exact same version.

Waiting to see if anybody with a 2023 and the digital dash successfully updates their maps. I'm very leery about trying to update when it seems someone above here in the thread bricked their TOMTOM...
