Only on UC5 which started on 2022s. 2019-2021s have UC4 and gota payWould those files work on a 2020 Limited with 12” screen? Would be great to avoid paying $149 for a map update
may I ask what is the actually size after your downloads (9 files)? I have download all 9 files, but only 12.3 GB, not 16.4 GbFrom my USB stick the file size of the 9 files is 17,587,276,491 or 16.3G , i did use a 64G FAT32 USB stick to load them.
You may want to retry using a stick bigger than 16G .
Looking at the TomTom site RAM + Ram, Light Duty , Heavy Duty and UC5 ProMaster all have the same 9 files.
All have 16.4G and v2022.09 files ( we must be due for a new version ! )
I concur...after looking at the versions for my Nav, I was a bit surprised to find it had file dates of May or July 2021 for a Nov 22 build. I guess they just keep using the same software to load into the system. But oddly enough my Uconnect had the second most recent version from 2022...go figure. Anywho I downloaded the files today and it's 16.4 GiB (17,587,276,491) 9 files total dated Oct 2022. I'll try the update on Sunday when I have an hour to connect my battery charger and let it sit while updating the Nav. I have a USB 3.1 flashdrive but I doubt the RAM is that fast. It's 16GB.
You must be missing one of the bigger files
It took a solid 45 minutes and I used a USB 3.1 drive that gets a constant 120-140MBps read no matter the size of the file.I concur...after looking at the versions for my Nav, I was a bit surprised to find it had file dates of May or July 2021 for a Nov 22 build. Im curious as to how one goes about getting the map updates. I have a 2022 Ram 1500 Limited and the map version is dated 04/21. So mine was outdated when I bought it. I have never had a OTA update yet. The trials ran out in Nov. 22. Not I just subscribe to Connect .What am I missing? ThanksI just did this last week. Made these selections and had no issues.View attachment 155813

As mentioned earlier in the thread, the maps are too big to update OTA (16.4gigs) - you need to download the map files and update manually. It's free and not hard to do as I said above - I did it on Sunday without issues and now I have the latest available maps.Im curious as to how one goes about getting the map updates. That's not true.As mentioned earlier in the thread, the maps are too big to update OTA (16.4gigs) - you need to download the map files and update manually. It's free and not hard to do as I said above - I did it on Sunday without issues and now I have the latest available maps.
I have that subscription but the Maps will not update OTA unless you enable WiFi and configure a connection. I won't use my phone connection and I"m not home with the engine running in the driveway long enough to use my WiFi, so it was easier to just download the maps like Stellantis suggests. For 2022 and above they actually claim there is map subscription service (which I had free for 6 months).
USB 2.0 is 480 mbps while 4g is 150 mbps and typical carrier 4g speeds are 30-50 mbps in the real world. That makes the USB about 10x faster. That's why I chose to download the maps and do it manually.16GB is not very big at all and the cell speeds are far faster then the usb 2.0 speeds the truck has.
My UC5 updated the firmware on it's own within a month of coming home...works fine for me.Ram's OTA system is just garbage for everything.
