Lift kit, tires and wheels are on... Can't figure out how the HELL to get these Fiberwerx fenders to fit. We've been in touch with Jason (the owner) and he is molding a couple more fenders to ensure he didn't send us warped or wrong type. No matter what we did, we had 3-7 inch gaps. The can't be THAT far off, right?

Driving us NUTS! Working with Fiberwerx on the fitment. Had a couple of video conferences with them and they decided to make another set of front fenders. They are sending them out to me tomorrow. Should have them in a week. We think these may have not molded properly. Fiberwerx has been GREAT with customer service. Spoke directly to the owner and they spent a good chunk of time with us to help discover solutions to our fitment issues. Good guys, for sure!

I'm very interested in how this turns out. I saw the last thread on this topic which looked nice, but never had any follow up or review. If you get these working it would be good to know your experience on the quality (I know, I know), fit and finish, bumper fitment, customer service, etc. I would be especially interested in some front end shots to see the stance afterwards as well as the transition lines between the door panel and the fenders. I probably won't go with 37's because I like my gas mileage, but I love the wide body look. Good luck and I hope it works out for you (and subsequently me haha)

Whipple says that right out of the box it'll give me 150 - 170HP with a super safe tune, bringing it to approximately 570HP. Plenty for a pick up truck, in my opinion. With exhaust, intake, and pulley, and a bit more aggressive tune, I could get pretty close. I have a built motor on standy by, but don't really see a reason to swamp it until the stock goes on me.

What kind of power will the 8HP handle?

Following. I just saw the fiberwerx fiberglass for this model and I am truckless and debating a rebel or Tundra with ADVfiberglass. Fiberglass fenders typically need some work to get to fit. Hopefully you guys get these to fit perfectly.

The replacement front fenders from Fiberwerx arrived late Friday, as promised. We'll test fit them this week and see if these make a closer fitment. As shown in the pictures above, the other front fenders didn't fit well at all. So, we'll keep you updated on the progress.

Here's some updated pictures on the rear panel install. Starting to move along nicely now. One panel on, 3 to go. Then to tighten tolerances. Bed fenders went on much easier than expected. As you see, we removed rivets to take the outer skin of the fender off. The glass of the new fender fits nicely over it.

Some more progress made on the fender kit installation. Rear bedsides went on GREAT. Some minor sanding and cutting to get tolerances closer to stock. One challenge we have is figuring out how to line the new front fenders with the front bumper. It sticks out a couple inches on each side. May have to fabricate a piece to connect them. We mocked it up in cardboard to show our idea. Pics below... What do you guys think?

Wow that is looking fantastic! Appreciate the updates and think your fab work on front bumper will be spot on. Thanks for sharing all the hard work along the way.

Could you cut the bumper near middle of the fog light opening and fab in an extension. That would push that outer edge further out to match up with the fender. Then replace the factory fogs with aftermarket led pods.

That would be my thought as well to somehow section in the additional width needed while maintaining the edges of the bumper on either side rather than build off the edge like you did with the cardboard.

do you have to modify anything for the 6" lift?

Great looking rig! Excited to see how these fenders look when all is said and done!

That was actually an option. We were thinking of getting a donor bumper, cutting one long, and welding it to the other to widen in and match the fenders. When we mocked it up though, the fiberglass didn't line up horizontally. So, we would have still had to do more fiberglass work. We think this may be the most efficient, and unique, way to complete the integration to the fender. More pictures coming soon.

Taking the fenders out of the equation (since we replaced them), we did have to cut a small piece of the frame out behind the front wheel. We'll post pictures of what we did. Otherwise, the 37s fit fine. Front bumper cleared, as well. Rear needed no modification.

What if you just buy an actual TRX front Bumper? Of have a custom Desert Runner bumper made?
