Interesting, my build sheet says active air dam but also has the air suspension. I will have to check when I get home!

Sure the ORP on the Limited has the Active Air Dam? I went under the front of mine to look for the air dam and it wasn't there. Build date 6/18

Might they have simply added this to all 1500s from this point forward to simplify the production line? There could also be shipping/logistics issues; I had my fixed air dam replaced on my newly-delivered order last fall due to scuffing/tearing on both front corners.

I just bought a 2019 Limited w/build date of 05/19 and it does have the active airdam. I was surprised when I saw it because I thought that was not supposed to be on the air suspension rams. My next question is “does it actually deploy?” Like someone mentioned earlier, it may just be there to simplify production? Would be nice if someone with a GoPro would verify if it actually deploys at the designated speeds. Guess I need to go buy a GoPro :)

***edit: I see where the OP verified it’s function by riding next to it on his MC while his wife drove the Ram... awesome!!!

My Limited has it too.

It was built in May 2019. (I'll have to pull the exact build date - I custom ordered it and picked it up on May 24). My window sticker is below. Not sure if there's a common theme of those that have it versus those that don't.

By golly, it’s on my Limited too. And it must work, the bugs have hit it.

Just look and see if their are dead bugs splattered on the side that would facing forward when down, then you know it is deploying.

OK so I bought one of the new 2020 Limited Black Editions right after seeing it at the State Fair of Texas... I too read that it wasnt supposed to have it. But I just went out and looked and it does and it too must function because it has bugs on it. Curious and also might explain why the gas mileage difference between "Normal" and "Aero" on the recent trip to and from Orlando, Fl didnt really vary at all. And here I thought I was actually testing it out to see and yet the truck was fooling me all along. Build date 9-19-2019.
