I originally had a Mopar 2” lift on there, kept the Fox shocks that came with that on the front. Then when I ordered my BDS kit, I added the rear Fox shocks. So now I’m Fox shocks all around on this.
So you've actually got 6" of lift in the front? You get 1.75-2" from the Fox strut and the BDS kit comes with a 4" spacer.

well, I guess my ultimate question is if I just upgraded the rear shocks and didn't do the fronts (I don't want to drop 2K on struts), how is the ride? I know shocks can be a total game changer.

I think the 2.0s might actually be softer feeling than stock honestly.! And keep in mind that they only provide up to 2” of lift so you’d still have to run a 2”-3” spacer up front. I say up to a 3” spacer because my 4” lift gained me 4.75” up front actually. King will make custom length 2.5 coilovers for our trucks but they’re pricey. The front is $1820 & the rear would be $900-1200. I’m sure the BDS Fox coilovers for the 6” lift would fit fine on our 4” lift trucks if you adjust the spring preload, and those are $2k for the front! Unfortunately neither company will make custom length 2.0” coilovers for our trucks, I’ve tried :/
Wow! Really...in that case maybe I should throw a set of 5100’s on the front..what do ya think?

How was the ride going from stock to the mopar 2” kit?

What did you do for the front shocks? I mean, I know you replaced them according to your signature but with a 4" lift, what did you replaced them with?

Has any 4" lifts NOT replaced the front shocks and only replaced the rear? How does it ride?
I would say almost every truck out there with a 4” lift has stock shocks. A couple guys might be running the 2” mopar lift like PorBoy, and there might be some running bilsteins or something, but most are stock since they don’t have a true 4” coilover out for our trucks yet. I suspect the BDS 6” coilovers would fit fine if you adjusted the preload on the springs, but idk for sure. The 4” lift only contains a spacer though, no different coils or shocks unfortunately.

Question for those with the 6” BDS coilover lift...how close to level does your truck sit? Does anyone have measurements from center of wheel to top of wheel well?

All the trucks in this thread look great, can’t wait to lift mine!!
I am positive that if you do the BDS lift front and rear that the truck will still have some rake to it. If you want it level or maybe a little nose high I would suggest ordering the rear half of the 4” lift and the front half of the 6” lift (yes you can order everything individually, I did it too)

Stayed the same minus the increased height. The best part for me was it actually looking like a 4x4 as opposed to pretending to be ha ha. Again just to clarify this is and continues to be solely my opinion...

You can run 5100s if you want but you’ll still have to run a spacer because they only allow up to like 2.5” lift. And from what I’ve read I think people said they were a little stiffer but more controlled feeling than stock? Idk I haven’t really looked into the 5100s THAT much. Coilovers will give you the smoothest ride if they are tuned right for your truck/your needs though!
Me personally: I had planned on doing 5100s but changed my mind and now I’m looking into other options. Hope that helps!

I’m up in the air on which kit to do. I love the 6 inch with the fox coilovers but the price is a little out of what I want to spend. Plus I think it looks best with 37s. More money and less mpg. But it does look mean. I’m leaning towards the 4 inch with 35s. I want to keep an 18 inch wheels (something bronze on my diamond black rebel) cause I love the more rubber look on the Rebel. Especially since I am actually using it to do some off-roading . Decisions decisions.

Hey man for what it’s worth I really think you could run the 4” BDS kit and still run 37s if you’re willing to trim! I don’t think you’d have to trim the bumper or the actual fenders at all, just some stuff inside the wheel Wells that really wouldn’t be noticeable. I say this because my 4” lift gave me 4.75” up front and you have the rebel package which makes your truck 1 inch taller. So essentially you’d be at almost 6” of lift anyway. Pair that with some 18x9s with a 0 or maybe -12 offset and some 37s and I think it would work and look sick! Personally I’d do 0 offset with 37x13.50 D load tires, but if you wanna run 12.50 E loads then I think -12 offset would look better. Hope that helps!

How do the Fox shocks ride? Any noticeable difference over stock?
I haven’t put enough miles on them yet to give a full review, but initial thoughts is the truck rides like stock... and the fact that the truck rides like stock after a 4” lift, bigger heavier tires, etc I’m happy! Still rolling with the stock shocks up forward, but may look to swap those out at some point.

btw love your set up with the method wheels!

People that are running bigger tires are you recalibrating your speedometer or just letting it ride? I’ve been debating about the rough country speedometer calibration tool, but have heard it will disable park sense. I have 3.92 gears.
