Leather seats not so leather??

Thanks for the location. Just bought the truck as CPO about 2 weeks ago. I don't typically look down at the seat when I get in. Was showing my neighbor the interior yesterday and looking at it more closely. No need to be rude.
Sorry if I came across as rude, I apologize. There are several threads on this forum regarding your problem. I had the same thing happen.

Build date is on white label on passenger side door frame. And seriously, you are just now noticing the seat shedding? Isn't that the driver's seat, the one you get in and out of each day?
I'm pretty sure my sticker is on the driver's side.

Just noticed while looking over the truck today I have the same splitting. Extremely disappointed that this is not only happening but also quite pervasive. In service for about 1 year and 12k miles... Will be taking by the local dealership soon. Absolutely love this truck but this has me very worried about the quality of an otherwise incredible LOOKING interior

Hi smashweights,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this concern with your truck. If you are in need of any extra support while working with your dealer, please do not hesitate to send us a private message. We are more than happy to get you connected with a specialist for further assistance through that process.

So should I not be using leather care products on my Laramie seats? ...
I use and would recommend a product like this that is designed for leather and vinyl so you don’t have to worry about the material each panel of your seat is made from. The only thing I don’t like about it is that they warn you to not use it on plastic, so be careful of overspray.

You can feel the difference for yourself. It is pretty obvious. Feel the rear bench and compare the part where your body (butt or back) makes contact to the front seat. Also compare the different panels on the front seat. Even visually there should be a difference. Vinyl has a very uniform grain since it is synthetic. Leather is natural and so won’t have that.

I get annoyed by YouTube reviewers that refer to the door panels or dash padding as being leather when they are obviously not. Yes, they have fake stitching - but it isn’t leather. Having leather on the dash of a BMW or true full leather is a several thousand dollar upgrade.
Nothing fake about the stitching on my Limited doors or dash. Actual thread that I can pull up with my knife. The way both the dash and upper door panels absorb cleaner there is little doubt in my mind that it's actual leather.

I have taken my 2019 RAM Longhorn in for a number of issues at 11,000 miles. One key issue is that the top layer of the "leather" driver's seat is pealing off. This is happening in two locations. Both are on the piece of leather closest to the center console. Neither area touches me when I am seated in the driver's seat and entering and exiting the vehicle does not impact this area at all. This is unacceptable build quality for a truck that stickers for $70k and only has 11,000 miles on it. C'mon RAM, do better. I will let you know what the warranty folks say. I think it is interesting that the dealer offered and has replaced both power mirrors (one was having an issue) but the seat is long approval process. We'll see how this goes. I appreciate the information provided in this thread.

So seen this today it’s towards the front of the seat. Anyone else having same problem?
