Key Fobs and LED interference

Please report back after your install. We pretty much have the same truck.
The background lighting is a little different in the before and after pics. Pics don't do the LED's justice. They are much brighter. I couldn't snap them into the housing while they were illuminated because they were blinding me. Make sure you have them installed the correct way before popping them into the housing. I installed the first one backwards and the next two I lucked out. So far, no issues with the key fob, just sitting in my garage. I did one remote start without a problem.

I just did another search on Lasfit's website, but this time I used the 2020 Ram 1500. It shows that the 921 bulb is compatible. I'm not aware of any changes to the 2021 models that would make a difference as far as the 3rd brake light / cargo lights and the key fob, so I'm just going to buy them.
Mine is a 2021. Lasfit bulbs are what I use up top. I have no issues

After 10 days with the Lasfit LED's, I finally had a key fob problem. I got in my truck, put my foot on the brake, pushed the ignition button, and got the "key fob not detected" message in my EVIC. Fortunately, it wasn't a problem, because I'm just a dumbass and left my fob in the house. 🤣 It did have me worried for a few seconds.

:LOL::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:(y)

How did you get in without the key fob? Do you just leave it unlocked?

Sylvainia 921 red led lights also interrupt the key fob.
I also have the same brand 921 led lights in the bed lights that cause no problem.
I also have all led interior lights and lasfit reverse lights and led hi and low head lights and switch back turn signals in the front that cause no issues. But every led I tried in the cargo brake light has caused issues.I eventually settled for a halogen brake light in that spot. (2020 1500 bighorn)

I wonder if these same issues happen when you replace the the third brake light assembly with an after market led light assembly? I’m gonna try to find out before I waste money on it.

I had some LED interference in the third brake light. I now have a red lasfit for the brake and white lasfit for the cargo lights and have no interference issues.

Nope. I’ve not had a single issue once I removed my led bulbs and installed the recon led unit almost a year ago.

I replaced just the cab cargo lights in my 22 Ram 1500 Limited with Sylvania 921 ZEVO White LED Bulbs, and of course I'm now getting the infamous "Key fob not found" message. If the fob is in my pocket and I try to start the truck "Key fob not found"... pull fob out of pocket, and she fires up without issue. I really like the additional light of the LED's. Upon further review, (I wish I found this forum sooner) it looks as though I went cheap and used the incorrect lights. I believe I need one with a resistor, so the lights I purchased will be returned and a more expensive (but one that will work) will be purchased.

Looking at the Diode Dynamics XPR Led light as a replacement.

I use Lasfit LED without any RF interference. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082GN928N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I followed your link, but saw this "Notice: Do not fit 2018-2019 Chevy Traverse, don't fit 2019-2021 ram 1500/2500." You've not had any issues with LASFIT?

I bought these and it said the same thing when I entered the information for my truck. If I entered 2019 or 2020 Ram 1500, it said they were compatible. I sent Lasfit a message, asking why they weren't compatible with my 2021 and they said something about a change to the electronics in 2021. I figured that was non-sense, so I ordered them anyway. They've been working without any interference for 10 months now.

Are those better or newer than the ones I linked? They're almost double the price.

I didn't know there are different 'types' of Lasfit 921 bulbs. I bought the flat ones, not the cylindrical ones in your links. I've only had mine installed a few weeks. So far so good.

I have Lasfit in my 2021 third brake and payload light. No interference. (A previous light did interfere, from a different company. I forget which.)

I was happy with Lasfit and got my son some for his 2022 setup. Again, Lasfit just works. No interference.
