My 2015 developed the tick at around 40K. They fixed it under warranty. The next year FCA reduced the powertrain warranty from 100K miles to 60K on new ones. In year five, 65K miles both sides were ticking... Since I had the 100K warranty they fixed both sides one involving a manifold. At 75K I traded with NO ticks. I spoke to one Ram tech with years of experience and he said he just cut to the chase on his and got titanium lifters? I think that was what he said. He described what happens that leads to it in detail and how the titanium ones due to their hardness are not affected. Of course, I'm not a Ram tech so it might cost a bit more...
So, is anyone aware if they finally fixed this well known "issue" with the 5.7? I sure don't want to get a few years down the road and start hearing that again...
