intermittent humming noise and vibration

I have had my Limited since the first of December and I have noticed when it is below freezing out my truck makes a loud humming noise at 2000 RPM going down the highway. It gets louder the longer you drive it at that speed and it seems to vibrate the floor under my left foot also. it takes about a half hour of driving down the freeway to start humming and the longer I drive the louder it gets. I do have 392 gears in my truck so it goes down the freeway at 2000 - 2100 at 75 miles per hour. it does seem like the colder it is the worse it is.

Well I must join the club on this issue, I thought to myself that I'm just listening too hard but this has confirmed my concerns. I hear the exact same humming everyone of you have described.
Same problem here 2019 Big Horn noise and vibration at lower speeds as slowing down. Went to the dealer was told it could be the torque converter and to increase the volume on my radio. Seems to be worse on cold nights. It doesn’t last long but is concerning. Don’t have backup vehicle to continually put in the shop. Hope Ram finds a fix.

Hi Lydia, I also just experienced this tonight on my 2019 ram 1500. It’s a very concerning sound that is more pronounced as the truck shifts up or down. I would call it more of a “roar” or a pulsating hum than anything else. More pulsating than steady. This is the first I heard this since purchasing the truck in September. It almost feels like it’s pullimg back against the acceleration.
I am having the same issue. I'm glad I'm not alone. It's unbelievable to me that so many people can be having this issue, but nobody knows what it is. So glad I bought a brand new truck that can't be trusted. I also had to take it into the dealership several days because the radio didn't work. The radio didn't work to the day I bought the vehicle. That tells me that they do not inspect the vehicles before selling them... More likely though, they knew it was an issue and sold it anyway. Now here I am with the truck that is obviously a dud. So much for being a lifetime Ram buyer... Putting more money into the bells and whistles and starting to treat quality as if it's not a priority.

Hello, I purchased my beautiful black Ram Bighorn in May 2018 and to date have logged 5500 frustrating miles on it. It seems this truck is plagued with the familiar loud intermittent humming noise. One never can tell when it will rear it's ugly head. So far it has been in the shop 4 times and the service dept. has not yet been able to diagnose the problem. fortunately for me they have heard the awful annoying noise so they know that I am not crazy. Company created a case but after two weeks and no problems they dropped it. yesterday the noise and vibration returned. So far dealership has replaced the cats and upgraded the transmission computer. neither have helped resolve the issue. Same old if it's not doing it when you come in we can't find the problem. Definitely having buyer remorse.
I’m in the same boat as you even had a “black box” put in to get info and not a clue still it’s creeping up on being a full blown lemon not to mention the squeeling breaks (rental truck I have right now is also 2019 ram and it does the same) they can never hear yet I do all the time still waiting on my instrument cluster that was ordered in November I think it was and they had to order me a new back up camera as well I’m over this truck and just got it in August

I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn 4x4 one day ago with "11" miles on it. I noticed today when I got on a paved street (not covered in snow) at about 35 mph the truck started humming really loud like it wasn't in the correct gear. When I got onto the highway it makes the same humming noise at 55 mph and above. I only have about 100 miles on it so far. The noise is so loud that I can feel the vibrations in my feet. Does anyone know what's up with this?
Good luck I’ve been dealing with it since I got the truck they don’t have a clue and mines random but tends to do it more when I have a full truck I’m looking into lemon law at this point

Same damn problem here too. This his been an on going issue in addition the numerous uconnect problems. This truck has not been problem free for the 5k miles I've had it.

Try pulling F12 fuse and see if noise/vibs improve if it’s ANC amplifying the issue/normal noise .

We're very sorry to hear that this concern has not been resolved yet, lemon aid. Unfortunately, the dealer is unable to diagnose this concern if it cannot be duplicated. If you plan to continue pursuing this with your dealer, you may also send us a private message and we would be happy to assist you while your truck is at the dealer.

Hi everyone! New member here, a google search for the same problem brought me here. I have a 2019 Lone Star, 1 month old, 1226 miles and I’ve noticed the same vibration issue but when I decelerate and the transmission downshifts. It usually happens around 1200-1600rpm. I can feel the vibration throughout the inside of the truck.

Silly question, is it when MDS (eco) mode kicks in?

I have the same humming noise. My friend asked if I had a whale in my transmission. The noise comes when I let off the gas and in lower gears.

Hi guys, name is Robert, new to the forum. Owned my 2019 RAM Bighorn blacked-out option since May. I came across this same issue today, turned the truck on, and the muffler ( at least that's what I thought it was) sounded like it was amplified. Drove off from the parking lot, and there was like a humming pulsating sound, and it got louder as the transmission downshifted. Drove it like that for about 1/2 mile, pulled to the side, turned it off/on and it went away. I guess I'm not the only one that has come across this, anybody found why this happens? Truck has just over 7000 miles on it. Thanks

Just dropped our 2019 ram 1500 off at the dealership today. Wicked vibration under the truck could be felt in the floor and seat of the pants. Occurring in the 1200 to 1500 rpm range regardless of gear. Talk about annoying! Took the service tech for a ride and he was stunned by the noise and vibrations. Left the truck with them and had to get a loaner as mom just passed away and we were on our way out of town to her funeral. This stuff can't continue....

Exact same rpm range we're experiencing the issue in. 1200 to 1500 rpm. Got the service tech to ride with me and he experienced it as well. Bad issue!

At least all this reading has confirmed that I am not the only one having this issue with my 2019 RAM.
I did take this to the dealer and the reply I got was " the factory has confirmed there is a problem and is working on a solution. You will be notified when one becomes available"
What the heck is that?
When one becomes available?
Sounds to me that RAM knew about this before I bought mine a couple months ago.
I am very disappointed in RAM for this. You guys better fix it and fix it quick. This kind of stuff can ruin the brand.

Same issue here, just started at about 4000 miles...I'll see what the dealership says when I take it in for the recall repairs
