Interior LED Lights swap out possible?

Your bulbs are correct, You need to turn the bulb 90 degrees. the metal strips on the bulb need to contact the metal on socket. It will clamp on the bulb. Keep in mind the bulbs are polar sensitive as well so if it doesn’t work flip it around and it should work
Made perfect sense after reading this! Thank you!! Any suggestions on those floor lights? Lol thanks

Still trying to figure it out myself. Haven’t had much time to look

Hi guys. I need help. I have the dome light on my legs. But i can still take the bulb out of it. Idk how to take off the little glass (or plastic part) from the front of the light so i can reach the bulb. Im afraid to leave marks aroud that plastic part or even worst, break it. Please how you guys took off that plastic par to reach out the bulb? Thanks a lot

I got it. Thanks anyways

Don't do it! Those bulbs will last roughly 27.9 years if you don't use your vanity mirrors often...just not worth it.
Honestly, i didnt know what you guys mean with vanity mirror (English is not my first language) until i figured it out. Now those lights bother me... :( What size are those? Lol

I was able to get the front lights switched out but I’m having issues with the rear dome light. I ordered this one that was linked in the first page: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01AHVNDZK?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

The width of the bulb is fine, but the metal ends are too small and the bulb spins freely inside the clips, loosing contact and spins around pointing the light up after driving. Can anyone recommend a bulb for the rear seat dome that fits snug in the prongs/clips?

I just pinched the metal clamps together to make it tighter...

This is where I'm stuck at. How do I remove the silver piece to get to the bulb?
For those of you who also wish FCA had just put in suitably bright interior lighting in the first place, here are some pictures on the easiest way I found to install the replacement map lights.

First, the map light covers are VERY tight tolerance to the console. So I used a razor blade to pry them out (pic 1) ...

I put little arrows to the tabs that hold them in, so you want to pry everywhere but there (pic 2) ...

I recommend taking the whole console out to both take out the bulbs and to install the new ones. The sockets for the bulbs are very flimsy and aren’t held in very well. If you get to the inside of the console you can push the bulbs out and hold the sockets in place while you push the new ones in (pic 3) ...

Like others have mentioned, you take the console out by removing the two screws behind the sunglasses holder, and then squeezing the tabs next to them (green arrows on pic 4). This drops the front (windshield) side down. Then go to the back and pry the back clips down. These clips want to pry straight down, not angled from the front (red circles on pic 4).

Then you can disconnect the wiring and take it inside to do the bulb stuff.

Interestingly, I found the design of the reflector part of the lights to be such that even with very bright replacement LEDs the lighting provided by these is poor.

I always get my LED's from diode dynamics. They have great products and easy to find the right bulb. Also, I am not affiliated in anyway. Just trying to be useful here.

If anyone is still wondering about the floor lights....the white caps pop right off and they take the same bulbs you use in the map lights...hope that helps!

Has anyone figured out how to get the light out of the lower glove box ? I can see it may slide out with a little prying, but I got a nervous putting that much pressure on it today. I didn't want to snap any clips.

Nifty, was just wondering that this weekend. Thanks.

Yep... Take a look at your vanity mirror lights... Your heart will sink.
Would like to change my Vanity Mirror Lights to LED in my 2019 1500 Bighorn. Any idea what bulbs go in there and what LED lights do you recommend? have you already done the same to your truck?.

I went on Amazon to buy the 29MM Festoon and Amazon states that these bulbs do not fit my 2019 RAM 1500. I called the dealership where I bought the car and he stated that I would need to change both visors in order to get LED bulbs in there as the bulbs are not replaceable. I don't believe him for one sec.

Which of the bulbs fit the visor panels? I would hate to buy the entire kit when I only need the 4 bulbs for the vanity mirrors.
