How to: modify wheel wells for larger tires/Negative offsets

Couple people have mentioned the bend method so I gave it shot. Bent the tab straight, then up. Drilled with a stepbit and then tossed on some touch-up paint. So far seems like it resolved my rubbing.

Turned out that just bending the tab wasn't enough to clear my setup to allow me to put the factory spats back on. Out came the heat gun again! Grabbed a pic of the molded one compared to OEM to give an example and hopefully help others.

My setup is:
2025 Rebel
3.5" lift
18x9, -12mm wheels
305/70 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss

My 285/60r20 10 ply tires rub, way i found out is the metal tab was stuck on my tire lol. So will be doing the heat gun etc soon. I have Bilstein 5100s on front 1 level below max height. Wanted to have a slight rake, when only puck was on truck there was zero rubbing, but front was too high and bounced bad. Love the military style look of the wheels, but heavy and add kn the 10 ply tires, ugh.
