Has anyone done any more metal trimming than just the tab? As in maybe part of the pinch weld, maybe going back as far as one of those bolts at the bottom. On my 4th gen 2500 I did some pinch weld trimming for 37s. So was just wanting to see if anyone has done more than just the tab.....
I have RC 3.5 lift, and am about to put on TRX wheels and 305/70R18 Yokahoma Geolander MTs (basically almost the same size as the factory TRX tires. I have seen most of the threads from people installing the TRX wheels/tires on with 1.5" spacers and it seems to be fine with the normal tab mod that this thread is mostly about. However, I have 2" spacers right now with current setup. I know maybe one person did it with 2" , but anyways, i just wanted to know incase i need to trim back the pinch weld too.
Yes, I had to trim back to the first bolt. The 37s still rub a bit, -44 offset.
Man... that looks really good!Clears 100%

Hopefully not to bad..This would have been a nice thread to see before I massacred my inner fender liners.
I hacked my fender liners up today before seeing this thread. Guess I get to buy new ones.Hopefully not to bad..
Months late, but I’m waiting to see pics of the bend up method.
Already cut my wannabe flares off in irder to maintain the rocker corner “protector”. Still getting very minor run backing up into my sloped driveway at full lock.

That procedure is for cutting off the metal tab, not bending it up. I want to see the bend. The procedure is detailed with pics at the beginning of this thread

No problem! Someone else asked for pics of it but no one posted any. It’s pretty thin metal …. I just straightened it out with pliers, and then bent it straight up …. Drilled a new hole for the liner, just below the old one …. It’s super easy …. You’re just bending instead of cutting …. I thought somewhere in these 89 pages, somebody detailed bending …. Been a couple years since I did mine …. Hadn’t been back here in a while …. Good luck …. Sorry, I didn’t take any picks

What offset is this?Thank you for this write up. I had the 285/60/20 tires removed and put 35/12.5/20 Falken Wildpeaks on today and they rubbed fairly hard on the drivers side. Took me maybe an hour to do it. I had to remove the mopar mudflaps from the front but now have plenty of room for the flat style duraflaps that should be showing up in the mail tomorrow. Truck is a 2020 limited ORP with the links and daystars up front. Love the look.
I don’t think you’re going to clear 37’s on a 4” lift I’ve always seen 6”+ lifts on 37’s and still requires trimming depending on offset.Seems like off set matter ALOT when it comes to fitting the rim/tire combo regardless of the list. I had 35x12.5R20 Ridge Grapplers with -8 offset installed with my 4inch bds a while back with zero trimming and zero rubbing since day one. I am getting bored with the set up and wanting to try the new recon grapplers in 37x12.5. Looks like I will have to take off the front lip with air dam delete to clear the front. Back should just be enough. Havent pulled the trigger yet still trying to dig around some more. Has anyone done a 37's on a 4inch?

Good info in this thread…..
I figured I’d make this post to help out anybody considering running 37 inch tires. Here’s answers to some of the questions I had before I bit the bullet and did it. I had a 4” BDS lift and 35” Toyo RTs and I recently added Bilstein 5100s set at level 5 (1.7 inches) so I could fit 37s. My 4” kit netted me 4.75” lift and the Bilsteins gave me 1.7”, so I’m at 6.5” of lift. 6.5” is actually what most of the 6” kits get you, so I’m at the same height as normal trucks with the 6” kit. Sidenote: the BDS 6” and 4” kits are identical in the front besides the size of the spacer, which is why I...

Brave, why the jump to 37’s ?? For looks or do you plan on crawling with your truck? Thanks for the link. I have read his post, I dont think people with air suspension has the same options as he did. His wheel off sets look way different that what im running. Zero tire poke, now that I look at his ram the 37's seem almost too big but theres also different size 37's depending on the tire manufacture. So many factors to consider, i might just say f it and bit the bullet and trim what ever is needed to make the 37 recons fit.

I feel that, and I agree 100% these air suspension truck suck badly off road. I wish I did better homework prior to my purchase a few years ago. I would have gotten a rebel instead of this limited.Just got looks/bored with the set up and wanting to try something new. We have an off road/state park within an hour from where i live in norcal. I take the truck out there every now and then for fun and some light off roading. IMO the air suspension is great for road/towing, not the best for hardcore crawling or offroading. Its too stiff for that.
Hey Carlos, Do you have any pictures of how much you trimmed?Yes, I had to trim back to the first bolt. The 37s still rub a bit, -44 offset.
