Because the radio can’t process the image of a surround view camera, only the CVPM can.

It looks like the first one is for 2500’s & 3500’s with surround view, BSM/CPD, tow mirrors and the second set is for 1500’s regular tow mirrors with (2021-2023) surround view and BSM/CPD from what I can see.

68361476AC - Says PWR CONV MEM (so I can’t for sure say if that’s Power Folding or Power Adjusting on this one I’d call a dealership and ask).

Curious if anyone knows, I started the 360 project by swapping out the tailgate handle, added the spacer, plugged in the tailgate camera adapter from Amazon, into the 360 camera (68144068AD), and got a blue screen. Critical detail, this is the only thing I've done so far (no CVPM). Is this normal or should I be concerned with either the adapter cord or camera?

I planned to start the tailgate handle, mirrors, and front grill hardwired, then tackle the CVPM and wiring in the next month or so, but do not want to go without a backup camera. The cost adds up quick here;

1 of CVPM - 56029964AF (UConnect 5) $340+$15 shipping (lowest new price I could find)
4 of Camera - 68144068AD - Take the advice of buying used mirrors on eBay with the mount for the camera (I'm planning to drill my stock ones and mount the cameras (you need the bracket inside the 360 mirros to mount in your non-360 mirrors - not tow mirrors) $125/mirror x the number of cameras you need (4) = $500.

If you read up the page a little bit on this page here people discuss that you cannot add just the 360 camera in the tailgate first it will not process correctly you have to have the CVPM to process the 360 cameras (including the tailgate camera). So, no it will not work if you need your reverse camera for another month or so before you do the rest.
