Not to sound like a broker record but please don't rely on your dealer to file the complaint. Call FCA direct. That way you are ensured the call was actually made and they will give you a case number direct.

Just got off the phone with FCA. She didn't care. Told me to contact the dealer and that they'd get me the missing parts and that their service manager would file the compliant in order to find out what happened during assembly.

Not even as much as a sorry. yikes...

Wonder if the dealer possibly canned something off your truck for another. Have seen them do this for customers and when the new part comes in they put it in.....possibly not reinstalling correctly

Nah, I don't think so. I can't imagine anyone doing that in good conscience and not replacing them immediately. the dealer was also super apologetic and are sending me the bolts. They've also contacted their FCA rep for a response.

This is exactly why NHTSA needs to be notified.

Did she really say, “she didn’t care”. That is a pretty serious accusation.

No, I wasn't quoting her.

I'll still accuse her of not caring. My dealer said sorry they missed it during inspection, sending me bolts, and that they'd look into it.

I told the FCA rep what happened and she said "Oh, call your dealer, they'll send you the missing parts."

At least say sorry.

The paint around the bolt hole looks like it's not disturbed. Makes me think this is NOT a case of the dealer swapping parts; that hole looks like it never had a bolt in it.

Can't imagine a dealer would do something like that. It is definitely from the factory.

Andoskyy, what's the build date of your truck? Was it built close to a holiday or something? I can definitely see that being related...

What's the VIN? Is it a KN? Was wondering if I should wait and get an LN once they've worked out some kinks

It's a KN, but I certainly wouldn't put an order/purchase on hold because of this. I wouldn't call it a kink as much as I would call it gross negligence of someone on the assembly line.

Hi everyone,
We understand how concerning this may be and we would like to have this documented and looked into further. If you are experiencing this concern, please send us a private message with your VIN and current mileage.

my seat slides forward about a 1/4 inch to where i can feel it when i hit the brakes hard, also slides back about a 1/4 inch when i hit the gas hard. I will be checking those bolts tonight. Dealer was planning to look at it when i have the rear brake TSB and pedal recall done this month. awaiting parts..

Well with steering wheels falling off, brake pedals falling off and now seats with no bolts it makes me wonder what, if any, inspection they do to these vehicles on the line? its like it must be cheaper to "let let the customers find the problems and report them"? This is not normal or "first year build excuse." I would contact NHTSA, FCA and @RamCares. Someone could get really hurt.

Are there supposed to be only 3 bolts? It looks like both the driver and passenger pilot seats only have 3. I don't see where a 4th would be mounted unless it was really long.
