Hellwig? Hell, yeah!

Are you guys using the middle setting? Installing mine this weekend
Went straight to the inside hole for stiffest setting. I like not having any body roll and the stiff feel. Have a Hotchkis sport suspension on my 00 Dakota R/T.

Two weeks in...this is still amazing. It just locks in the rear...

(Middle hole.)

Thanks for the feedback! I installed mine on the middle setting. Rides so nice. I’m curious how it will ride in the tightest setting so I’ll probably give it a shot

Just ordered mine for $196 from AAFES, thanks to those that reminded me that they were on there, save a few bucks.

Hmm, trying the link but when I search for any parts - I get nothing. Does the AAFES auto parts website have issues at times? I was able to login and see the 1st page, just nothing beyond it.

It's a pita to find the site. Links don't work. You've got to login and then search. (Sorry, not on home computer or I'd try to step through how I find the aafes garage link. It was not straight forward.)

Thanks, I have found the AAFES Parts Store. After I login, I see links to all kinds of parts (tonneau covers, bug shields, etc.) and a search function. No matter what I click on, I get a blank page.

I didn't really have a problem, once I got to the auto parts site I just put "Hellwig 7709" in the search bar and it came right up.

Just ordered the sway bar and end links, will be lowing the rear 2" at the same time I add the bar. Will report back with the results.
One thing to note is the end links are now almost $140 :( Bummer

Just drove the mountains of western NC, around the Blue Ridge Parkway, but on side roads.

I -thought- I was impressed with the anti-roll capabilities of this Hellwig before. Well, now I KNOW I'm impressed. Hairpin turns were fun with no body roll. Amazing difference.

I installed mine two days ago. Ended up with the softest setting because I was having a little trouble getting it into the middle holes and tiny ants started attacking me so I got mad and just used the setting that worked. This truck is pretty wide so I haven't pushed it around any corners yet but it did feel a little tighter when I took it out today.

I was explaining it to a friend who was riding with me (who couldn't believe i installed it myself--which shows what he thinks of my mechanical abilities.) About that time we heard a noise behind the truck. He said "there goes your sway bar" and for a minute I feared he was right and had accurately assessed my mechanical abilities, but I didn't hear anything dragging and nothing was on the road behind us. I checked at our destination and it was still there, securely fastened. I think it was just a rock in the tires that broke loose.

Where did you order your end links from and why change them? I asked the same thing and was suggested no need to change them. Just saying.

I ordered direct from hellwig. probably could have saved a few bucks somewhere else, saw a few for mid 130's but id rather support them directly for making such a great product according to everyone. Got the end links because im lowering the rear 2" and the sway bar needs to be level with the ground.

I apologize if this is a ridiculous question but I was wondering if there are any positives or negatives to tire wear if any ?

Just ordered mine from AAFES. What a great deal! The Exchange Auto Parts Store is at this link:

Mid $130's? Where?

Having noted that when I installed my Hellwig, the middle hole seemed smaller, I finally crawled back under to try again to use the middle holes. Still no luck. I can use the outer and inner holes, fine, but the middle ones won't work. I took a tape measure down and as best as my vision would allow in tight quarters, the outermost and innermost holes are 1/2" and the middle one is 3/8". I have to assume this is not normal?
