Has anyone purchased the Mopar wind deflector?

In the event any of you come up missing a rubber bumper for your Mopar bug deflector as I did, I found these on Amazon of course. A variety of sizes and just so happened has 4 of the same size used for the deflector.

Just completed the install. Few words of wisdom.

1. IMO the rubber bumpers should be installed on the body. If installed glued to deflector, gravity and force of vibrating deflector will shoot those off over time.

2. When handling the deflector, be careful along edge. Very sharp and I cut myself

3. DONT TAKE OFF THE TWO OUTSIDE CLIPS HOLDING THE HOOD SEAL AS DIRECTED BY MOPAR. The clips used to hold the deflector to the hood on the outsides do not need the hole. No I have a rubber seal flapping around when I open my hood.

4. When I placed the clips and screen in the plugs I went screw/washer/hood seal/plug/clip/hood as opposed to screw/washer/plug/clip/hood under the hood seal. Just a personal preference as to not having any of that hood seal flopping around. Felt nester

I found the install pretty easy and didn’t take long at all, I did watch a YouTube video of the install prior and was aware of #3 not to remove the outside plugs as those holes aren’t utilized for the install. I also installed the bumpers to the deflector as I didn’t want to stick them on my hood, if they come off no big deal and honestly I don’t think they’re necessary anyhow. Got any pics of it installed on your truck?

To each their own. Hopefully they do fall off or youngish somewhere sunny. Rubber gets hard in the winter. I'd rather the cones etch a rub mark into the deflector as opposed to my paint. Alot of vibration from wind.

I’ve had them on a few previous trucks, and they do offer some protection, but I’m not liking the look on the new grille/hood style. If I do anything, it’ll be Xpel.
 
I installed factory Mopar one also. Stuck the bumpers to the hood also so that they could rub on the deflector and not the paint. No issues yet and has been installed for about 5 months.

I went with the AVS bug shield as the OEM had some bad write ups with some of the holes not lining up etc. I did however put the OEM vent visors on. The front ones went on flawlessly, the rear ones however were a pain in the butt with the clip and little screws. Took me 3 times the time to do the rear than the front, if they hadn't been a gift from my wife I would have taken them back to the dealer and gone with the AVS ventvisors. I've had the AVS on other vehicles for 30 plus years with no problems. Another .20 added.

I had 2 sets of Avs in channel break on me already. Been waiting since 6/13 for a pair they keep saying there on back order. May go with mopar or weather tech

Get WT...far better then the MOPAR!
 
I just went on WT’s site and the in channels were not available.

Follows the hood contour perfectly sits about a 1/2 inch off the hood
