So, I know I have the 2 wires. My dealership said that those 2 are for people that already have a TBC installed. How do I convince them otherwise? ThanksLift the pass rear seat and you can see the module and wiring tag.

It takes someone there that is willing to do a little research/digging in and actually looking at your truck to see all you need is the switch and module. The other option is find a different dealer. It takes about 2 minutes to see you have the wires installed. If needed they can contact me, I have no issues helping where/when I can. PM me for contact infoSo, I know I have the 2 wires. Does adding the switch require taking off the head unit? If not, I’d do it myselfIt takes someone there that is willing to do a little research/digging in and actually looking at your truck to see all you need is the switch and module. Yes - you need to remove the head unit. It is easy. Many posts about how to.Does adding the switch require taking off the head unit? If not, I’d do it myself
You need part #68569520AB(trailer tow module) and then the dash switch 68618899AA. Once installed the dealer can program.
If your wiring harness is the number I provided, you will be good.Hopefully this is correct. Dealer has ordered these parts and I'm scheduled to have them installed on Thursday. Hopefully all goes well.
….And they will receive the kit, which contains part numbers 68569520AB and 68618899AA, and 9 wires. The 9 wires will end up in the garbage because they won’t be needed, leaving him with installing the two parts he could have installed today. Ughhh….why are there techs/service advisors that just won’t do the work that the customer is willing to pay them to do…Well drove 2 hrs this morning to the dealer who had part numbers #68569520AB(trailer tow module) and then the dash switch 68618899AA in stock. When the Head Tech looked at the parts and the instructions he said that he wouldn't start the install without the required full kit including the cable/harness. So thankfully he did not charge me for the above parts, and has ordered the kit which is suppose to arrive the 1st week of December. It wasn't a wasted trip as I did get the oil change, tire rotation and a ABS brake recall completed.
Why wouldn't he install it? Did he not look for the wires in the harness. We installed 2 this week that I know of.Well drove 2 hrs this morning to the dealer who had part numbers #68569520AB(trailer tow module) and then the dash switch 68618899AA in stock. Correct - in my case the wires were not used….And they will receive the kit, which contains part numbers 68569520AB and 68618899AA, and 9 wires. LAZY, that is the answer. It takes less than 2 minutes to check for the wires.Ughhh….why are there techs/service advisors that just won’t do the work that the customer is willing to pay them to do…
He is a parts guy..... there is nothing under the steering wheel. The info is in this thread as to what you need to look for. The part numbers are also here.I was told by a parts guy that not all of the trucks can get the new brake control module, apparently there are wires necessary that should be under the steering wheel? Can anyone confirm this or is he full of BS? I’ve been waiting since June for the dealer I bought my truck from to get the parts, all I keep getting is “they moved the date”.

Since I had the existing cable like @Cbty2050 said, my dealer just installed the 2 separate parts (module and switch) and updated my equipment. The TBC works as expected and the dealer learned a new thing about installing TBC’s in 2025’s. Thanks all!
You need to ask for the right parts or source them yourself. All I get every time I call is the parts are back ordered, been waiting since June.

Agreed. IF you have the correct cable harness installed (from @Cbty2050 : The part number tag for the harness can be seen from under the rear seats.)You need to ask for the right parts or source them yourself.
