GT Package

I don't know where you saw a base model rebel for 70k, but mine was 54k, and the only thing I am missing is the pano roof, heated/cooled rear seating and adaptive cruise control. I dont mind posting up my VIN if that helps narrow down bigger ticket items I may be missing, but I am pretty sure a base model rebel is like 51k on the dot. I think if you're fully loaded, you're probably looking at about 70k financed, but I dont think you could get a 70k sticker on a rebel without mark-up.
A quick trip to build and price, $84,695 possible US. He's wrong about base, but you were wrong about loaded.

I am close to fully loaded on a Rebel at $71k. Only missing technology and towing packages.

The base is up to $56K and a fully loaded is $80K sticker. Build it and see.

I built out a Rebel just now and it came to over $87k USD. Pretty much every option available except ppf...

You can still get a TRX for $85k, granted it's not fully optioned, but it has a 700hp option and that's all that matters really

True, that's the base price of a TRX. But you can't technically get one for that price (or any price) now, since they've closed orders for the balance of 2023 on the TRX. The only way you can get one now is to find one on a dealer's lot.

He's Canadian. In Canada, the base price of a Rebel is $67,295 (and that's in Loonies, or whatever they call their substandard currency).
That would mean the base price of a trx is incorrect in his post then.
a base trx is about 85k$ a base rebel gt is 70k$ (yes the base rebel gt comes with more option then the trx) so if you add 6.4 engine overthat your guettibg very close to a trx
I guess if he thinks 42% more (31k) difference in price is "close" . But to each their own I guess. There is also no base GT. It forces equipment level 2, so a "base GT Rebel" is nearly fully loaded compared to a base trx which doesn't even come with passenger power seats (how embarrassing to have front manual seats on an expensive 2023 vehicle)
An Rebel GT should be compared to a trx with level 2, since it has the same features and those are nowhere close in price.

This is a Rebel GT with level 2

if you read it again i said base rebel GT... go on ram usa site put the GT package and it will show it at 70k$ , i was referring to the price on the ram site not real negociated price, for both the gt rebel and the trx

this thread is about GT package not rebel

by base GT, your right i meant with the force option but without adding any other ones, so 85k to 70k is 15k difference not 31k

15k is not a big step, add that 6.4 engine and you will be even closer...(if it would be available)

15k isn't a big step?
You can buy a 6.4 crate engine for 8k right now. Comparing the 6.4 to the 6.2 is way different anyways though. The 6.4 doesn't have a supercharger, and also doesn't come on a TRX.

If you are only talking about power and ignoring the fact the base TRX has nothing and you are comparing it to a truck with equipment level 2, then you should get a tradesman\bighorn and swap the engine out and it still would be cheaper then either.

At this point I have no idea why you are even comparing the GT trim of a rebel to a TRX.

I went ahead and did it on the website for you as i'm not sure who's website you were on because it's not Rams with the prices you listed.
The Rebel with GT package and level 2 is 65k, base TRX is 86k, I guess another 6k is nothing for you too right to make it a difference of 21k. Ram's website can make up numbers too except theirs are accurate.

the point was, IF they would add the 6.4 engine option the that would also add to the price and getting you closer to the trx. wasent trying to argue about price tag... lol

and that if the 6.4 package was around 4k then i would be interrested but if it would be more, like lets says 8k thrn i would be temted to go the extra to get the trx

and thats only my opinion lol you dont have to agree with it ;)

edit: also at 70k the rebel gt, i did add the 4x4 and the hitch because for me those options are not a choice its a must on a offroad truck, i guess it would be about 68.5k without them

I think the original point is that for the money the GT Package does not bring anymore real performance than a non GT Package - and to get all of the creature comforts you priced yourself into a Limited and/or approaching a TRX.

OK.

Here is a TRX off the website. Not even damn close in price.

I didn't say it was. Don't pull me into your argument LOL. I was just amazed at how much more they are now than when I was looking at ordering nearly the same truck back in 2021. Granted, a couple of the option packages weren't available back then. It's crazy how much these have gone up.

Doesn't the GT also come with the "auto" 4x4? If so, that might be a step down for guys who chose the Rebel for the best offroading version of the 4x4 system. Auto uses clutch packs even for 4 low IIRC, the non-auto uses chains etc.

Frankly I don't see the point of the GT as a package. It's more fluff than substance unless you really want that console shifter. The exhaust you can get anywhere.

The whole half ton segment is more fluff than substance.
Any trim over a Tradesman / XL / WT trim etc.

GT Package is just yet one more fluffy arrangement to accommodate some particular tastes.
