So you replaced this factory filter with the new Gen 3 cartridge/housing assy? Was there a PN on the factory cartridge that could be removed from this cartridge by lifting and twisting ?
So I got a call from my sales buddy at the dealer and he told me they had filters in stock so I had to pick on up for my next oil change. This one has a different part number, one I haven’t seen yet.
The oil filter cap has the same part number as the factory and first replacement filters 46344766.
the cartridge once again says “do not remove” but comes out easily in a clockwise direction. The part number on that is 162127665, this is different from the factory filter but the same as the first replacement.
I made a video of the removal for those interested.
ID parts says they can get them from UFI, they already sell the UFI filters for the gen2. I'd expect availability to be soon, but covid19 and every BS thing made in china to save a buck is annihilating the just in time production and business model and I hope it dies the death is deserves. No thanks to Trump and his polices but by divine intervention.Yeah, an internet search doesn't turn up the filter element by the part # that was stamped on it. So if I can't get just the element, then it doesn't matter.
Hmmm , in my truck from factory was slightly different filter , with 2 hooks instead 4 like on your videoSo I got a call from my sales buddy at the dealer and he told me they had filters in stock so I had to pick on up for my next oil change.
