No. I have my heart set on a new Powerwagon, but a 19 Rebel is quickly getting on the short list. I just have some more pics including the window sticker is all.

Still looks like a Ram. I got the angle off. But there is no mistaking this truck for anything other than a Ram

I drove past ford chevy and toyota. anyone who really thinks they look the same isn't paying much attention. This is definitely a RAM.

I know it's sort of the point, but you can really see the resemblance of the two. Two things i never noticed before being a matchup are the lines in the center of the hood being similar and the badging on the side of the hood ( as long as it came from the factory with that sport sticker on it)

Also the "fender drop" seems to actually be about the same, it's just a more gradual drop on DT but if we're going for inces lower than top of the hood it's about the same.

I think thats something a lot of the people that say it looks like a Chevy due to those lines are missing. Look at the top center of the grille and center hood lines of a second gen Ram and the 5th gen. Ram designers have said they used the second gen are styling inspiration for the 5th gen.

Thanks for the pics @devildodge they actually do a lot to show the family resemblance.

I said over on another site when all heck broke loose that the biggest difference is that the hood goes into the fender more. If you look at my 99 the fender rises up to where the hood sets. On the 19 the hood goes almost out to the fender edge. (see attachment)
You can see what I mean in this pic between the 2nd gen and 4th gen. And the 5th gen goes even further over.

And like I said anyone who thinks this truck is a copy of some other truck is wrong. Except for the fact they all look similar in being trucks...you can tell thus is a Ram from any direction.

and you are welcome for the pics. I may try to get a shot of the 3rd Gen next to it. I would do the 4th Gen but if I drive that on the lot I may be coming home with that Rebel lol (and I hate that dealership) lol

I agree 100%, I have heard that it looks like an F150, Silverado, Sierra, Tundra, Tacoma and Ridgeline. Now there's no way it looks like all those trucks which just goes to show that people saying "it looks like x truck" are just trying to compare it to something else for the sake of it.

To me and many others that have seen it in person such as yourself it looks undeniably like a RAM.

the other thing I notice is if you look at the roll of the hood. My 99 the grille is attached to the hood and lifts up with it. The 19 it is not. So if you look at the slope of the hood and draw that as the line as if the hood didn't slope, well you got one heck of the big rig look.

If you can understand what I mean.

I've always really liked this photo for showing off the front end, I think it looks aggressive.

This is what baffles me. I can't believe such a large portion of the presumabley auto enthusiat population are unable to come to grasps with the idea that trucks are going to look similar because, well, it's a truck. They all look similar in a way because there is a certain form factor that must be followed. The actual design cues are for the most part completely different brand to brand, with the exception of Chevy completely ripping off the bed sides of the Tundra.

If it was one brand claimed to look exactly like another over and over and over with some sort of evidence to show they were similar then maybe there would be a leg to stand on. The lack of this is why you hear such a wide variety of "it looks like this, it looks like that"

People are dummies.

The thing is, when dodge went with the low headline/fender look, it had never been done. Literally, everyone has copied their style as your pics show, and its gotten to the point where people are saying the Ram looks like a Ford, or a Toyota when they DEFINED that style. There is no excuse for everyone to have copied them. Chevrolet's new look, although polarizing, shows you can still do something unique.

Yes that is the stock location for the SPORT on 99 to 2002 (2001 for 1500) 98 and earlier is on the bedside near taillight.
