I got the same moan on my Rebel, in last week for oil change and they ordered the parts took a week for them to come in. Now just have to schedule appointment to get it done.
Thanks, i am showing them the rear brake TSB tommorow, and hoping they just order the parts and do it. Any problems i will be sure to call that number.

Hi 2019REBEL & 19RamBC,

Please be sure to keep us updated on how it goes with your dealers!

I had the brake moan this morning. Just bought mine used last week (11,000 miles). Manufacture date was 4/19, outside of the parameters of the TSB. Made an appointment for next Tuesday, hopefully they'll still fix it.

Took mine in this morning, didn’t mention the TSB, they found it in their own and are ordering the parts. He said they’re backordered and wasn’t sure how long they’d take but hopefully we’ve seen the last of our really cold mornings and I won’t have to worry about it anyway.

Must be a US thing, mine were here in a week(Canada), parts sitting at dealer right now until I have time off work next week to get them installed.

Unfortunately if they are fixing it under the TSB. It will not fix it. Mine continued to do it right after the service on the way home. My fix to get rid of the sound was to trade it in.

Can some one tell us what the "moan Kit" is actually?
Basically the kit adds support brackets onto the rear of each rear caliper mounting flange. The other end of the brackets are clamped to the rear axle carrier housing. If installed correctly it should eliminate the movement of the caliper flange that's welded onto the axle carrier.

Someone in this thread said that after installation of the anti-moan kit they still had a problem. Keep in mind that the first fix issued for this problem required the replacement of the rear brake pads with a different style and material. It's possible in some cases that unless both are done the noise issue may not be completely resolved.

I've enclosed the kit instructions for the anti-moan kit.

Best regards,
Dusty

Has anyone been able to get rid of the brake squeal with aftermarket pads? I'm tired of messing with the dealer on the issue.

As a fellow sufferer I've followed this topic quite closely and I'm not aware of anyone doing so.

20 days later and the dealer called to say my parts are in. Now I just need to get over there so they can install them. Not sure it'll fix anything but it doesn't happen too often so we'll see.

I can confirm on my end that 99% of my moan and squeal has been resolved following installation of "anti-moan kit". I'd be cautious of aftermarket pads because it was the installation of the brackets that solved the problem for me.

Just had mine done yesterday at a local dealer under TSB 05-001-19 Rev. B. We will see how it goes in the long term but I didn't hear any noise from them today on my way to work. Good luck out there.

Had mine done about week and half ago, one little moan backing out one morning but that's it, normally I would get a moan backing out all the time.

Rebel, did they install any other brake components, or just installed the anti-moan kit?

Best regards,
Dusty

Think just the anti moan kit these parts were included on my invoice.

2X 68412365AC Adapter
1X 68412364AC Shoe Kit
4X 06512429AA Bolt.

The shoe kit (68412364AC) are just rear pads and clips. The Anti-Moan kit is 68446866AA, which doesn't show on your work order and apparently not used. Not sure was the Adapter is, although two were used. It's possible there's are different approach to this issue for the Rebel.
