Door Panels misaligned

@Dusty1948 is correct!

Look around the dealers lot as well as at F150s. If EVERY vehicle of this model has it, it is a design characteristic!

My '16 F150 had it as does my '19 Ram. The Ram is less noticable than the Ford...the doors are "feathered" to help airflow over the gap between the doors helping with EPA numbers...

Update. I escalated up to the general manager and owner at the dealership this morning. They called me today and told me their Chrysler engineer was on site and asked me to come by. Within 30 mins they aligned the doors and it looks great now. Road noise went down as well. They gave me a printout of all the specs related to the doors. If anyone cares to look at it let me know

Mine are the same. The front doors seem sunken in compared the back. The hood gap is different on the left side also. Some of the window trim is not lined either. I will have to bring it in. Unacceptable on a $60k truck.

Well hopefully they will get you sorted out. Keep this thread updated with your outcome please.

Has anyone noticed misaligned doors on their 2019 ram? Specifically on the rear doors? I noticed my 19's rear doors don't appear to be shut all the way and the front driver door looks like it sticks out about 1/16" of inch. I went to the dealer and noticed that all the vehicles on the lot had the same exact issue.

The striker plate doesn't appear to look like it can be adjusted. Any ideas? Has anyone had to remove the striker plate to make adjustments?
I removed my striker plate it is not adjustable my R/R door needs 1/8- 3/16 to be flush all other doors are fine. let us know what the fix is. such as different strikers with an offset.

According to the spec sheet that i have "Rear Door to Body Side Aperture (Below Belt) should be: Door overflush by 0.5 +/- 1.2 mm. It should transition to 0.0 at top corner +/- 1.2mm and be consistent within 1.5mm". In other words. It is acceptable to have a little bit of overflush but not 1/8". That is about double the spec.

The only thing you can do is remove striker plate. Loosen the nuts a little from hinge to door. Have someone apply pressure/weight to keep door flush while you re-tighten the nuts. Put striker back on and hope for an improvement! Option B, body shop.

Another quick update. Last night when I got home I decided to run a credit card between the body lines. I still noticed that there was a significant over flush and under flush reading on the rear doors. I brought it by the dealer today and all the lines are now smooth. Looks like they made a few more tweaks to get it right. Just waiting for the courtesy detail and I should be a happy camper.

I talked to the dealer about it yesterday. We agreed that when I bring it in for my first free service they will get it fixed. I figure it will be better to wait and see if any other issues arise. Then I can leave it for a few days and they can fix everything. He said not to worry and that they will make it right.

There ya go. At least you got the commitment to get it right!

Did that . Loosened the door hinges and found out they are not adjustable either. if anybody knows how they adjust the door let me know before i take a new 65000 dollar truck in and have them start bending , breaking or scratching my doors.

Let the dealer handle it. They are responsible for your truck and have likely seen this issue before.

I can tell you that they loosened both hinge to body and hinge to door to make the adjustments. I can tell by the paint chips on the nuts. Luckily for me I bought the silver truck so its barely noticeable.

We have the EXACT same problem. Ours was built Jan 2019 and the rear driver side door is the worst. It almost vibrates funny when you close it. The gap around the door is not consistent all around, and the bottom of the door sticks out about an eighth inch when closed.

Has anyone actually got resolution for this? Opened a case with FCA, service manager opened a ticket with engineering, he claims Chrysler called him back and advised they are aware of the issue, but no one returns my calls or has offered a solution. Wondering if anyone got this fixed and if so, how?

The dealer had to adjust my rear drivers door. It is better, but not perfect. Wind noise went down as well.

The dealer also gave me the run around. After three complaints, they finally sent me to their body shop. The body shop guys had my doors aligned perfectly in about 30 minutes. The cost went back to the dealer.

Ram must be taking some pointers from Ford. My 2016 F150 had terribly misaligned doors from the factory. Dealer couldn’t fix it so I did it myself. Also found that the hinge bolts were not torqued to spec and were a bit loose.

My front passenger door sits out a tiny bit from the beginning of the rear passenger door. The drivers side drivers door is flush with the leading edge of the rear door.
Dealership told me body shop as it was within their tolerance. I said I like it how it is and left.

Yea my passenger front door was miss aligned when I got it, was making contact with front fender when the back of the truck was in my drive way and the front tires were on the road, hood was out as well.
dealer fixed the problem with the doors but put up a fuss.
first they told me not to worry about it. Haha
I told them I'm not worried about it, that's why I bought the extended 7 year warranty, when the paint starts peeling back where its making contact it wont be me repainting the whole truck.
it got booked in the next day.

picked it up January & has been back & forth to dealer 5 times with different issues. Just picked it up today after they said they repaired a faulty vacuum pump, now i'm taking it back tomorrow for a electronic stability control problem.

Grrrrr
