Does the Laramie 20' wheel chrome plastic wheel insert come off??

Dumb question but why did you need to take the inserts out to powder coat? Could you not do them while attached? Going to do the same thing and trying to figure out if I can just bring to a shop as is.
Powder coating requires baking the rims in an oven after the coating... the plastic inserts would have melted and/or warped, so they needed to be removed, painted separately and then re-attached to the rims.

I’m looking for 4 of these OEM wheels if anyone is selling their take offs

Thought about painting the wheels, but need to remove the oval plastic chrome inserts on my wheels...thanks
You can do it by hearing them up. It’s a thick adhesive and styrofoam under them. If you start with a corner and allow them to come up on their own. Once you have a corner place a towel between the tool used and the clad chrome piece.
