Hello All,

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this concern with your A/C in your new Ram trucks. We understand how frustrating this must be. Please feel free to send our team a private message with your VIN, mileage, and dealer so that we can document it. Additionally, we can provide support if your Ram is at the dealer for service.

Hi Darlene,

My truck is currently at the arrigo dodge Jeep dealership in Port Saint Lucie/ft Pierce Florida. Truck is a week old with 220 miles. They have told me this is normal operation and the truck is able to be picked up with no resolution. I’ve got 10 ram trucks with my company and plan to drop our fleet plan if this isn’t resolved and treated with the care it deserves. Far too many people experiencing the same problem and it simply points to improper operation. I’d love to talk more over phone if you are open to that. In the interim I am requesting my local dealership to put me in touch with someone at Chrysler directly.

Mine does the same thing, at the center of the windshield. I haven't seen it on the side windows though. I am in Pennsylvania.

Has anyone tried forcing a calibration via the HVAC fuse or pulling the battery cable?

Mine does it too. Center lower portion of windshield gets fogged up. I have it set to auto. I have an 8/18 build.

Unfortunately, FCA will probably not do much. - the usual 'can't duplicate issue' or 'it's operating as expected.'

Couldn't hurt to also file a NHTSA complaint since fogging windows block visibility.

It looks like NHTSA has a couple of 2019 RAM 1500 a/c complaints listed under the following categories:

1) UNKNOWN OR OTHER,
2) COMPONENTS: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER.

Thanks I plan to file my own complaint there and to FTC.

Thanks for the responses guys, certainly evident I am not the only one experiencing this issue and I plan to raise hell down here at my local Arrigo Dodge dealership! We are a small family company and have 10 ram trucks and none of the others have this same problem, so I hope they find a way to figure out the issue and get it resolved. They offered to call Chrysler and see if they have any input either so hopefully that has a positive outcome. Can’t imagine it’s anything that complicated. All I know is I’ll use whatever weight I have to throw around and get some action. I’ll keep you guys posted with updates.
Is this Joe?
I have the same issue on my 19 3500. Arrigo just did a recalibration and no change. I have an open case through the dealership and with the FCA escalation team.
For those wanting the build date mine is a 7/19.

No, this is Justin one of his brothers. I’ve got an open case with FCA but FCA will not do anything as they say it is running as expected. Apparently if all trucks they look at perform just as ****ty they call it running normal...FCA says its up to dealership for possible buy back and dealership says its up to FCA. Next I’ll be trying Jim and John Arrigo. Maybe they care that they’ll be losing 1mil in revenue over the next 10 years. Or, maybe they won’t....probably the latter but it’s worth a try.

My Tradesman does it here in FL too. Hopefully they find a fix... It is annoying.

Might be time to explore the Federal Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, this covers a lot of problems not repaired under warranty.

Oh cool, tell Joe Albert said what's up. I'm friends with Faz.

Maybe we need to open a case with the NHTSA and explain that under many driving situations the windshield fogs up and causes a poor visibility situation. They did a recall on GM vehicles for a key issue. That was for a ridiculous scenario where you may bump the key with your knee and turn it off. I think the windshield is a bit more serious. Also worth noting us this is an issue on all Ram models. I went there yesterday and checked several other trim levels and models. All the same.
Message me if this needs to go further or you need me for anything.

Oh I agree 100%, although I wasn’t aware it is an issue with all their models. I had a 13 and 16 1500 and they didn’t have the issue. Waiting for the 2020’s to roll out and I plan to check them as well.

I’ve told Arrigo and FCA I plan to drop the fleet and file complaints with NHTSA, BBB, AG. So far it doesn’t seem to mean much. I’ve had 20 posters confirm the same issue exists with their vehicles, I hope they can all file the complaints as well so we can get a resolution going in the form of a recall.

I’ll tell my brother you said hello.

Add me to the list. Mine definitely does this in humid weather in the morning. Although yesterday I drove to Disney from Winter Park on I-4 around 0930 and the windshield was clear. Likewise on the way back at 1400. My side windows have never fogged. I run my Climate on auto at 72 to 74.

The Ram 1500 2500 and 3500 all do the same for the 2019 model year.
