Chirp/Squeak Noise

I went to a second dealership after getting Ram Cares involved and had the front brake pads replace approximately 2,000 miles ago and I have not had any squeak since. From my understanding, there has been an ongoing issue with the anti-rattle clips on the original brake pads. Sorry for the delay in replying. If you also need me to send you a copy of my service receipt, I will gladly share it with you.
I appreciate the response. That would be awesome if you could send it over. This way, hopefully the dealer just replaces without question. I plan on mentioning when I bring it in for the first oil change.

Anybody else notice a chirp/squeak noise coming from the rear of vehicle when hitting bumps or any uneven terrain (road or off-road)? I believe its coming from the driver's side but I may be wrong. Hoping its a simple fix like lube or re-torque of suspension parts. Please let me know if this has happened to you and what the fix may be.
Yes! I have the same thing going on. Almost sounds like a bell. I have a 21 rebel with 600 miles. Not sure how to upload a video but notice the sound going over bots dots (lane divider-bumps) uneven or patched roads, train tracks. But not really going up and down driveways or speed bumps. I’ve also rocked the truck side to side and back and forth and nothing. The weirdest thing ever

I feel everybody's pain here. There are multiple threads on this matter. I've had mine in twice and had brake pads replaced (sound went away for a month) and the anti-rattle clips lubed and a week later, it returned. I believe my truck has been in the shop almost two weeks total and I can't stand to roll my windows down to listen to that constant reminder that the manufacturer and/or service can't find a solution. The service departments seem clueless. I basically ran through all of the fixes that I read online to assist the service manager that test drove it with me in the passenger seat. RAM, please find a remedy!

Yep, took mine in the other day and they dealer ordered new calipers and will replace them and hopefully bolts and pins in a week or so. Will update with how that goes afterwards

Joining in on this thread as my truck has now started chirping constantly--going up/down driveways, in and out of drive-thru's, etc... It's maddening!

So is there any consensus on if it's brake caliper/clip issue, or a sway bar issue?

+1 my new truck chirps

Just a note to add that my truck seems to chirp if/when I'm riding the brake, like slowing down to go over a speed bump. This makes me think it is related to the brake clip mentioned previously.

Not happy to hear so many fellow Ram owners are going through this. My 2020 Ram 1500 Limited started making this chirping noise going over uneven pavement, potholes and the like. Definitely, doesn’t reflect all the self adoration for “truck of year” honors!
I used to get looks from people on how sexy a ride it is. Now it’s looks with laughter!! :S

Going to dealer as soon as I have time to waste in their waiting room. :/

2021 Limited, 260 miles, developed this chirp. Sounds like coming from front. RamCares, do we know if it's brake caliper issue for sure or suspension issue? Also have an interior rattle on passenger side :(

Just wanted to check in and see if you had any updates? Have a 2021 Big Horn NE with 900 miles. Just noticed the same noise coming from the front driver side. Hope your issue was resolved.

Hello everyone, we are deeply sorry for the trouble! We can definitely understand how this would be frustrating. We recommend scheduling a follow up appointment with your dealer in order to ensure that all resources are exhausted when determining the cause of this concern. Our team would also be more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist for further support through that process. Please do not hesitate to follow up via private message with any questions.

Dropped my truck off at the dealership today and asked them to look at the chirp along with a few other things.

I was able to verify 100% that it was brake-related, and the chirping only occurs when the brake is being activated. I'll post back what they say

Same issue here... dealership supposedly inspected the brakes, didn’t hear a chirp, and wrote “brakes working as designed” on my service Receipt. This can’t be how they were designed to work. The chirping comes and does, but even when rolling without breaking or pressing the gas pedal, it’s there. Really sounds horrible. After a whole day at the dealership, their next solution is to have me schedule another appointment and go on a ride-along with a technician. Had they suggested that today, maybe we wouldn’t need to waste another whole day troubleshooting. Ram, can you just issue a bulletin on this?

Hello everyone. Recently there was a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get you back into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle.
As always, please send our team a private message if you have any questions. We would also be more than willing to assist alongside your dealer service to ensure that your concerns are fully addressed. Thank you!

Good news, thanks. Unfortunately, I called my dealer and this TSB is not in their system yet. They said it usually takes 2-3 weeks to receive, and said that even if it’s on the Internet, they can’t do anything with it until it’s in their system. Is that accurate?

**Update**

Dropped my truck off today to fix the “chirp”. I had previously told them about the TSB and replicated it for them. The dealer ordered new calipers/bolts/pins and after installing today, they called and said it still makes the noise. The dealer checked fitment and verified everything was torqued to spec. I will have to bring it back next weekend for a technician to look at the truck.

So much for the quick fix I was hoping for.

Ram cares, care to get involved?

I ended up fixing it myself and getting reimbursed by FCA after so many failed attempts at the dealer. What i did was buy new hardware clips and used brake lube on the hardware. its now been over a year with no more noise.

Why does this TSB not include the 2019 trucks? Seems like an intentional oversight by FCA

My 21 ram rebel with a MDH of 0912xx. Only 800 miles on it and I’ve already developed this “chirp.”
