Cap/topper options

Anyone with a ARE willing to take some pictures of the hatch/tailgate transition?

I got my CX Evolve but the tailgate auto-release option does work because of tight seal fit, hope that makes sense. Trying to find an option.
I think you're trying to figure out a topper that will allow you to hit the tailgate release and have it cause the tailgate to drop with the topper in place? I have an ARE CX series - pic below. If the t-handle is in the unlocked position and I hit the tailgate release button on the fob or grab the handle the tailgate will usually drop but the topper window stays closed. I would no do this on purpose though as I think it will likely cause the lower plastic molded piece of the topper window to break.

Finally got my Snugtop XV installed... of course the Yakima racks are on back order due to COVID. Wanted the ventdoors Instead of the sliders but they aren’t available on the XV, but the fit and finish of the XV vs Rebel was a little better so I went for the pricer one. Full led lighting, keyfob locks, power ports in the rear, sportsman upgrade so the top is thicker and can hold more weight.... now if I can just get the 3rd brake light to work right I’d be all set. I can definitely feel the weight of the topper on the truck but in a good way, seems more solid in the rear end now. Also seemed to quietened the road noise down a bit from the rear as well.

here are a few pictures as I wasn’t able to find a ton with my color and style When I was looking.... @Bobbybob, thanks for the help and suggestions.
How did it end up doing in rain? I love the large side slide windows of the Xtra Vision. I think I’ll be ordering soon for my 22 Limited, Black.

Got my Leer 100XR installed yesterday, about 5 weeks sooner than they had originally estimated it would be here. I went with the trim level 4 pkg, windoor sliders, headliner, keyless lock/unlock, LED dome light and removable front sliding window. It ended up at about $3,600 with tax and install.

First impressions are good, the fit and finish is nice. The rear hatch is a bit hard to latch, gotta give it a good push, but it was also -10* yesterday so the seals were a bit stiff when I was trying it.

Up next is installing some LED lights in there and doing some work with the 3D printer to make plugs for all the holes inside the bed that let in dust and snow.

I picked up my LERR 122 Hi-Rise Cap for my 2021 Laramie 6'-4" bed at the LEER Factory Outlet for $2700. It didn't have the keyless option.
The Local Dealer wanted around $3500 for it.

How bad does that style affect your gas mileage?

I am getting very good Mileage with the EcoDiesel. I also got the GDE Tune done in DEC.
Once we get back to the summer blend, I will have more Data. The rear window does collect
a lot of Dirt.

Driving out to Detroit for the GDE tune I got from NH to Toledo OH on the stock 33 Gal Tank. After
the Tune I topped off at Toledo, with the ACC set to 75mph I got all the way home with 100 miles
left on the DTE screen.

I was going to post pictures of mine after I had my XR installed on Saturday, too...but since your truck is exactly like mine, I'll save the bandwidth. LOL

I got my XR with the keyless entry and the removable front window (so the doggos can poke their heads into the passenger cabin and get extra ventilation). Out the door we paid $3200; the canopy arrived 4-5 weeks ahead of time. In unscientific testing, MPG seems to be about .5 MPG worse with the cap on than without.

I have mine in the For Sale in the for Sale Wanted section if anyone is looking at getting one of these. I am asking $3500 They are $4300 New right now before taxes, and you can't even order them as they are backordered. I am located in Suffolk, Va. These are stainless steel and not fiberglass. They support 700lb when not driving and 350lb when driving. So great for camping.

I'll add a reference point.

2016 Leer 122 from a 2500 does NOT fit 5th gens.

1” high at the cab (I knew this going in)

About 1" wide each side at the front.

I got that answer too from a local dealer. Then I called the Factory Outlet and talked to Marlin.
It was installed on the 2021 CC w/6-4 bed in Dec of 2020. 14 days after I took delivery of the
truck from the RAM Dealer.
