Okay, I'm going on three weeks with my 2019 Laramie and noticed something amazing. I DO NOT have any dust or pollen sitting on my dash!
I've had to Swiffer my two previous trucks every three or four days with the amount of stuff floating in the air around here. I'm suspecting that this new truck has a cabin filter. I looked around and don't see where there could be one, at least in the usual place on 4th gen Rams. the owner's manual only mentions to see my dealer for replacement, but the literature I had before I ordered the truck doesn't list it as a standard equipment.

Any insight?

Best regards,
Dusty

It does have a cabin air filter behind the glove compartment. Check out info starting on page 504 of the full pdf owners manual online.

AH! I suspected as much. Is the .PDF version of the owners manual more comprehensive?

Much appreciate the response.

What is in your truck isn't the full owners manual. I beleive its just a guide. You can either download the manual or you can request that Ram send you a hardcopy of the full owners manual. I did that through the online chat on the Ram website...Told me about 3 weeks for delivery

Cabin air filter is accessed by removing the glove box.

Anyone take the glove box out yet? I looked at it but didn’t want to break it.

You have to take off the center bezel, in order to get the mid panel off, to get access to the screws holding the box in. See attached.

Yeah unfortunately you have to expand further. I think there were ~1,000 downloads (excluding the DTC-Based Diagnostics).

I asked Tech Authority about when they planned to release their hard copy ($130) but they said it wasn't a priority. I got tired of waiting around on them so knocked it out when work was slow one week.

Yikes. I think I'll wait until the whole thing becomes available then.

Thanks for the quick reply.

We've been hit pretty good with smoke and ash here in the PNW and its been quite pleasant in my truck. I may need to peek at that filter when all this crap blows over though.

Yes, thanks for this info.

You'd think some day they would design this (and the oil filter) for a quick, disassembly-free, hassle-free filter change out.

I see no reason for doing this.
You do not need to disassembly the dash/center bezel to get to the cabin filter.

Its three easy steps.
1. Open Glove Compartment Door.
2. Remove the tension tether.
3. Push inward on both side of door to release glove compt stops and pull door out at you.

The cabin filter should be right behind it.

That would be the LOWER glove box door, correct?
