Kind of a common complaint in this forum, mostly when backing the vehicle and especially with early build 2019s.
Shorty after about 19,000 miles when the weather was cold and there was a lot of humidity in the air, first time backing produced a howl like that of a freight train stopping. If it had rained over night the howling could actually wake my neighbors.
Took it to the dealer where the tech immediately recognized the problem and ordered new rotors and pads for the rear. After replacement all was quiet for about 16,000 miles when the noise came back under the same circumstances. Since the 36,000 mile warranty on my truck has expired I've elected to not do anything about it since it only occurs the first time the vehicle is backed from a cold start in a wet environment. Over time I've found that the noise has decreased considerably anyways.
Now I only have the noise after over night rain at a much reduced volume. Besides, my status for waking my neighbors has been replaced by another neighbor who's brand new F-150 makes a very loud rattle at each and every start (transmission problem).

Dusty
