If you don't want to keep the chrome letters, then you can just pry them out but the tabs holding them in will break off.

If you want to keep the letters, then you would need to remove the entire grill so you can get behind the letters to disengage the tabs.

This is a pic of the section of the grill that the letters are mounted on. It is hollow on the inside but you have to remove it from the main grill.

Is it possible to remove that front center section while the grille is still on the truck?

If not I'm going to gentry pry off the letters since they are going to be replaced anyway.

I got all my Black emblems and RAM letters installed today...yeah!

Removal tip: Warm up the grille letter with a heat gun first then take something with a sharp edge (like a gasket scraper)
and catch the lower corner of the letter then quickly flip it towards the front. I managed to get the letters removed without breaking any tabs.

The RAMs head on the tailgate has allot of adhesive seemed more difficult to remove than the one on my 2016 RAM.
Heat the emblem then use fishing line to slice through the adhesive then peel off the adhesive.

Finished it tonight. Easy, just a heat gun, prep solv and some elbow grease.......... Looks Gooooooood..... and added an AVS Arrow Skin II bug shield. Now just to get the wheels powder coated.

So how does one go about removing the hood badges? I’ve already swapped the tailgate and grill badges to black, and removed the stick on “RAM” from the doors, but the hood ones have me concerned since idk how they are held on

Held on by multiple clips. Pullup under the number 1 in the direction of the arrow.

i removed they access panel on the tailgate to get to the back of it. There are i believe 3 clips. The whole entire backing of the rams head is adhesive so heat and goo gone is your friend here

I have posted the old one with the chrome emblems if anyone wants to plastidip.

I was gonna plastidip the hood emblem and tailgate ram head then strip it of all other badges but I found the matte oem replacements on eBay! Money well spent if you ask me
