How much over (if any) is that over what the door jamb states?
Door jamb was 35psi I believe. The oem 22's Goodyear max was 50 (If I remember) on the sidewall. I'm no "tire and suspension engineer" but I suspect many oem tire pressures are more for a compliant ride as opposed to weight carrying and better mileage.

We own two Ram trucks: 2014 1500 CC Big Horn, and a 2020 1500 CC Limited. Setup is virtually identical (3.92/5.7/short bed/bedcover). Differences are: E-Torque and wheels (20" versus 22")

2014 truck averaged arond 19mpg when I drove it to work. Same commute and driving style etc. in the 2020 Limited gets me 17.5mpg. Have 2,500 miles on it now, so hopefully it will improve over time.
I had a 14 Ram, and now 19 Ram. Both same setup, but my 14 would get between 20-23 on the highway. My 19 never does better then 17mpg highway. Did anyone ask the dealer if there is a update for the computer tune?

IME it all depends on the individual truck. Some trucks just get better mileage than another identical truck. My buddy has a new Limited and he never gets over 17 on the highway. Same motor, same gearing as mine. I have taller tires and I never get less than 17 on the highway regularly averaging 19 on a road trip. I’m just glad that mine is a good one. I do believe they have some pretty false MPG advertising on the stickers but not much a guy can do. Nothing worse than walking into a dealership service dept and complaining about fuel mileage in a pick up, lots of eye roll!

Went on my first major road trip..
From the Iowa to Pennsylvania.. pretty disappointed with overall MPG.
Total trip (minus last tank because I haven't fuel back up yet) was 1770 miles and used 113.47 gals of fuel for an average of 15.6 MPG.
I was running with the cruise set at around 77-79.
3.92 rear-end
Pretty sad actually. no where near the 21MPG highway or 17 combined

I will update when I fill up tomorrow.

I must have gotten one of the good mileage trucks.....on the highway....I have averaged between 20 to 22 mpg......I don't drive as fast as some of you.....set cruise at 65mph max.....on two lane highways....cruise is set at 55mph....have gotten 21 to 22 mph consistently. I have the 3.92 rear...4x4 with a tow package. Mileage sure beats the heck of my former truck....a 2003 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 with a 4.10 rear.....that truck was a good truck but mileage sucked. I like the mileage thus far....have about 2800 miles on truck.

That (your speed) makes a VERY large difference.

The largest factor in Drag being produced is Velocity. Extremely simplified Drag = Velocity Squared.

You might have a point, but when I can't even get "city mileage", I think it's a valid complaint. And I'm trying to drive ultra conservative and it's struggle to maintain 15 mpg.

Neokane,
A rebel with the higher rolling resistance tires going that fast with 3.92 dont think you can expect more than that. Wish mine laramie offroad did a little better also but hoping summer fuel and a little more break in might get me a few more mpg. Taking it easy with 89 octane 2 lane roads at about 60 I was able to keep it just above 20 the other day. My 2017 3.6 pentastar ram laramie would have been closer to 23-24. My 2015 ecodiesel would have pushed 30. Not the hemi but i still like it !!

i feel for some of you that are getting such poor fuel mileage. I on the other hand get really good mileage, 16 average mixed and 19-20 on road trips and I’m sitting on 34”+ E rated tires

Thats pretty high speed coupled with a 3.92, I'm not sure what you are expecting mileage wise. Our trucks are aerodynamic bricks even with the aero aids...not a Model 3 for sure. Drag increases with the square of velocity component.

Anyone else getting less than 14mpg? My 4th gen got way better economy. I know it’s a truck and I don’t expect amazing economy, but i do expect to get what I got out of my 4th gen which was 16-17, and also does anyone have a vibration coming from the drivetrain when In 4wd hi or auto?
I have 19 Ram sport, hardly get 11.8-12mpg. And I think its

I have 2019 Ram sport and get hardly 11.8-12Mpg, I think its all about your driving habits. Moreover, about vibration, then yea I have noticed the same when in 4wd whether its auto or high

Getting close to 19 MPG with 3.92, I use 89 in the tank. Synthetic oil, over 70 tends to go way down 16-17. I also took the secondary filter off and put a green filter drop in.
