We have just introduced a resonator delete kit for the 5th Gen Ram trucks. These are mandrel bent 409 stainless and made in the USA. As far as I know these resonator deletes are the only ones on the market that let you reuse your factory exhaust tips, we are also offering our 5" stainless tips available for a discount if you buy them at the same time. These have a ball joint on one end and a slip-fit joint on the other. They include hardware to clamp them on and you reuse the clamps that come with your factory tips, they also have instructions. You will need to cut your factory resonators off, they are easy to get to so the cutting isn't too bad. We are currently producing these and will start shipping them out tomorrow.

Do you have a discounted magnaflow and resonator delete package? Black tip option?

I do not have black tips, I may do them eventually but it will be a couple of months. Sure, I can do a deal if you buy both, I will PM you. Just FYI, I do not use Magnaflow anymore, we are using our own mufflers, same or better quality, same sound.IMG_0391.JPG

You mean now I have to cut out my magnaflow so I can have that cool b2fabrication etching on my muffler  Man us early adopters really get the short end!

I second the need for black tips. I have the mopar black 4” now and really like them. I decided to give the 5” tips a try and if I like them I will either leave them chrome or coat them myself (with what exactly I don’t know so if you have ideas post them up). If someone wants 4” black tips I will probably put them up FS once I get them cleaned up and this kit installed.

I said in the other thread that I was in for a set and I just ordered. Looking forward to getting these installed!

How does this sound with a factory muffler? Any change in sound?

Ordered a set this weekend without tips. Most places I have checked around me want $100 or so just to cut and weld. They say it's hard to get everything lined up in the rear...I call bs, but since B2 was so kind to offer this kit I'll gladly pay the $155 to keep everything intact for a quick reversal if needed when I trade in down the line.

I will say I would have ordered with tips had there been a polished black or black chrome option on the tips. Would love to have 5" tips and I hope B2 will be looking into producing these along with a possible discounted cost for those who ordered the delete and wanted black tips originally.

These deletes will be pair to a Borla ATAK Crate Muffler and I will get video of before and after.

thank you. i wonder what it sounds like with just the front resonator removed, and the rears left in place.

I've wondered the same thing. Or even what the truck sounds like with ZERO resonators!

Even if the resonators are removed you can eliminate drone by using a Helmholtz or J-Pipe. In the case of the V8 to 4CYL you would need 2 separate pipes in order to make it eliminate both frequencies. We will see what the Borla crate muffler sounds like without the rear resonators once mine are delivered. No shipping update yet. If the drone is too much then I can always have a Helmholtz made and welded in.

Santa came early today with the delete kit. Install hopefully tomorrow. Will post sound clip. The quality of this kit is nothing short of spectacular! Well done Matt! Super high quality. American Made. I’ll be proud to roll with this.

Any updates as of yet, did you get it installed?

Weird your hanger pipes are welded in a triangle shape, while @B2 Fabrication website pictures show it as only 1 single hanger bar like the factory. It’s not a problem since I think the triangle hanger design would provide more stability and prevent the pipe from having too much free play. Maybe Matt will chime in about this, if yours was an updated design compared to what Matt has posted.

Do you like the chrome 5” tips over the black tips? I like the factory black tips because all my logos are black, my grill is black, my running boards are black and my rims I am hoping to powder coat black or a combination of black and blue to match my truck. Therefore I think I want to stick with black tips.

Does the 1” bigger tip make a tone difference? Like having both the 4“ and 5” installed on the resonator delete, maybe you have video of the different tones the tips make?

Thanks

I installed mine yesterday, but I didn't spring for the tips. The installation was easy with the exception of the fact that they need to spread the slip-on end open just a little bit more. Once you get down to about 1/4" opening left in the split, it takes some persuasion with a mallet to send it home. The clamps that they sent had some kind of teflon threading in the nuts instead of having them tapped in the nut, and because of that I couldn't get them to torque down. A trip to AutoZone for some 2-1/4" U-bolt exhaust clamps fixed that problem. I've got the Flowmaster FlowFX replacement muffler and these resonator deletes, and now it sounds absolutely perfect in my opinion, and there is no drone at cruising speed on the highway. Now I just need to find a set of black chrome tips and I'll be set.

I reached out to them with the issues I found, and they said they'll be looking into them to see if they can make some improvements.

I haven’t completed my install yet. Life got in the way and I’m trying to get things finished. Hopefully very soon. I’ll post right after I’m finished. I’ll also post my thoughts about the chrome tips vs black.

I too have the black tips and my initial desire was to have black, since I’m not a big fan of chrome on my vehicle in general BUT I have always like chrome on the exhaust for some reason, it highlights it. I definitely like the 5” vs the stock tips though, these things are massive! Whether it changes the tone or not I’m not sure. If I install the pipes without the tips I will do a before and after.

I can't imagine that tip size will have any thing to do with the sound...it's just an outlet.
