AWE 0FG Catback Exhaust Suite for the 5th Gen RAM, available now.

So overall are all you guys happy with the AWE? I've been going back and forth on systems. Does anyone have any input on the Stainless Works Reline System that is another one I was considering but I really like the sound of the AWE. Was thinking about the Borla Touring but after reading sounds like the fit is terrible and not spending that kind of money to not be happy.
I've only had it on the truck for about 2 weeks and haven't driven it much since I work from home. Having had the Borla Touring and the AWE, I can say the fit and finish of the AWE is better than the Borla. I think the tips on the AWE are much nicer too. Also much more adjustability and the tips have been staying put unlike the borla. Borla told me there was a production issue with some of the Borlas that caused bad fitment and I was originally gonna just go with a replacement, but they were on backorder and it would have been at least a month wait. Since I had a "bandaid" fix on the tips so it wouldn't hit my bumper, I didn't want to wait that long. Borla has top notch customer service, so that is a plus. They will take care of you if you have problems.

That being said, I think I like the AWE better in terms of cabin sound. It's a little quieter in the truck vs the Borla Touring. With the AWE, the sound seems like it's further away coming from the rear. The Borla kinda sounded like the exhaust tips were in front of the rear wheels (the sound seemed closer to you in the cab). They are both pretty loud compared to stock, but not overly obnoxious in the cab. Outside I think the AWE is a tad louder, especially on startup, but not a huge difference from each other. THe main difference is the tone. I think the AWE is a bit meaner sounding, but both sound great. Just know if you are going for something slightly louder than stock, neither of these would be a good choice. But if you want to hear the Hemi sing, you can't go wrong with either system.

So far I'm pretty happy with it. The things that I've discussed have been pretty minor in all honestly, this is to be expected out of all exhaust systems. I do think it is a rather pricey exhaust but it is nice. In my experience, AWE stuff is typically nice but that is coming from the VW/Audi market.

I would say, looking back, I was very please with just swapping out the Borla XS Pro and removing the rear resonators. I probably should have stuck with that as it was a very tamed and zero drone (including MDS) and it is a great match for this truck. I've very surprised that there hasn't been more discussion on that muffler swap here. That said, the aggressiveness, look and appeal of the AWE is all great and still enjoying it so far. It's not a quiet exhaust by all means.
Thanks for the honest answer those systems are a lot of money to not be happy. Our houses set pretty close so I'm concened about waking the neighbors when I leave at 450 in the morning

thanks I don't need anything too loud that it wakes the neighbors in the morning when I leave or have my wife complaining either

You will probably wake the neighbors with the Borla Touring or the AWE, so it depends on how much you like your neighbors. I personally have a loud rude neighbor, so I don't mind starting it up early lol. My wife can hear it start in our bedroom which is on the other side of the house from where I park. Both tame down pretty well after about 30 seconds.

Great I actually like these neighbors lol.

I'm happy with mine, besides the fitment issue on my exhaust flange...may just say screw it and get it welded but it's not really hurting anything. I like everything else about it, especially the tips and the adjustability on them. It's about the same price as all other high end systems. I recommend it to anyone that wants the aggressiveness when you step on it but still a daily driver.

I really thought that I was going to do the Borla Atak on my Rebel. AWE is about 20 minutes from my house and the idea of having them do the install sounds good too. I might have to check them out. I actually drove right by their place the other day before I found this thread.

I had the stainless works Legend system on my 1500 and it was too loud in the cab for me. In terms of quietness in the cab while cruising; Corsa was the quietest, then AWE then Stainless Works. I know you're asking about the Redline version, but that's going to be even louder in the cab.

Just put my order in. Now we wait and try to find somewhere to install it for me. I hear having a lift makes it possible to get the stock exhaust out without cutting it.

You can get the stock exhaust out without cutting if you have ramps to back up on. It also makes it easier by taking the spare tire off and the heatshield around the spare. You can then snake it out by slowly moving the muffler and tailpipe towards the front of the truck. That's how I got mine off. Installing the AWE isn't hard either just have to deal with the small spaces and laying on your back to do most of it.

That's the backup plan if one of my buddies won't allow me to bum a lift from them.

Looks like you have the limited. Set it in offroad 2 mode. Remove the driver's side heat shield around the spare tire and the spare tire. That will give you enough room to feed the factory system out from under the truck...no ramps or lift needed. And you also have the factory system intact in case you sell or go back to stock.

that's the idea, I didn't want to cut it under any circumstances. AWE gave me a call and said its a 10 to 12 week lead time. Looks like I'm going to be getting my exhausts and suppressor the same week.

Try another site. I ordered mine off fastmodz.com

it was awe that called me directly
Turn 14 Distribution has a couple in the TX and a couple in their NV warehouses (chrome tips but no stock of black tips). If you want it sooner, may reach out to them to see if they will sell it to you directly or advise you of a dealer that can get it for you.

no where seems to have black tips and I don't mind waiting. I appreciate the advice all the same.

Has anyone installed this exhaust themselves? How hard is it getting the old system off without a lift or ramps?

I just have basic hand tools. Should I add anything to my arsenal?

I’m going to get a set of exhaust hanger removal pliers. Those rubber hangers are always such a pain in the ***.
