Anyone attempt the squeaky rear brakes themselves?

I’m with you. I’m going to try aftermarket pads with a different compound and see if that helps.
I understand that the problem is the harmonic vibration, but maybe a different compound will react a little different and not transfer the sound the same.

Keep us posted on what you go with. I may be giving the TSB a shot on the 31st..

Negative. After having an F150 with the freezing door locks fiasco, I'm not in a hurry to head to the dealer over much of anything. Much rather a tech not mess with my truck if possible.

I hear you! Sadly if you take your car to MOST dealership shops to be worked on more often than not they will actually make the situation worse, or damage other unrelated things..I once had a service writer at a
dealership state to me (chuckling under his breath too!)
"Many times we have to break something else when we fix what you bring it in for".
If the problem is very small consider not bothering, if not too difficult fix it yourself, ESPECIALLY interior rattles and squeaks!.

The door latch cable thing is one of the big reasons I did not buy another Ford this go'round.

I may be jinxing myself, but after taking my truck to a different dealership to have the brakes replaced (again) with the latest TSB parts, things have really improved. It initially squealed when I picked it up, but after a break-in period things quieted down and I've had 5k of silent miles ever since. I know, famous last words........

Just heard from my RAM case specialist. My trucks had the first two TSBs concerning the rear brake moan done, still has the noise, dealer and case specialist say "The tech will have to reproduce the sound to determine if this TSB applies to your truck". The first two were done because of the same noise, still scares the hell outta the neighbors dog when I back out of the drive in the morning.
It's a full time job dealing with these RAM dealers and support. Never had to argue to get obvious defects corrected with any other truck I've owned.
Right now I'm dealing with brake noise, cracked back glass frame (Leak), third brake light (Leak), and stained headliner caused by the leaks. What a mess!!!

Take a video with your phone. I had to do that with Ford on the frozen door latches.

Here's one of the many...

This is why i have changed from love my new truck to never again. This initial mishandling and lack of ownership for shortcomings has stained my impression of quality before my third payment.

Well done F* Customers Anywhere.

I had brake pads replaced for front squealing brakes at high speeds at 7500 miles. About 10,000 miles the squealing returned. I am now also experiencing the rear brake moan in reverse. I'm planning on having both issues looked at. What are the latest TSBs or other information I should have on hand to help get a proper repair.

Take a video with your phone.
That's what I've done with everything I can when it happens. Loss of audio, frozen 8.4", brake squeal, etc., are all in pictures or video.

I give a detailed printout (including pictures) to the service advisor/writer when I drop it off so they have the proof and eliminates most of the "tech cannot reproduce" issue. I'll show them any videos too. I've also found a dealership that has been helpful rather than dismissive. They are 20 miles away but I will make that drive every time for service and parts because the one down the street from me s-u-c-k-s (service and sales). I also go to the same service advisor as he knows my truck and my expectations. With few exceptions I have been happy with the outcome (and I've still got 14K more miles to convince them of the rest).

I broke my cardinal rule: NEVER buy a vehicle the first year of production (new line, new generation, or redesign). Unfortunately I was collected in an accident and my truck was totaled, leaving me in the market for a new vehicle earlier this year. I knew I would have more issues than normal since it's the first year of the 5th gen truck but nothing else I sat in or drove came close to how much I liked the "all-new" 2019 RAM 1500. So I bit the bullet, broke "the rule", and bought one.

Next week will be my 4th visit to the dealership for work (in 10 months), including round 2 for squeaky brakes (I would attempt it myself but as long as the dealership is doing it for free I'll let them...plus it's logged in the VIN history). It's more that I had hoped so far but less than I expected. Luckily it's nothing catastrophic and the truck hasn't left me stranded anywhere so I consider it a win so far.

4th in 10 months is nothing. F150 had more than that over door latches. Thankfully my early 2019 build is good.

I left the brake TSB and fuel filler part number on my console when I took her to the dealer. Tech had some interesting words when he got in my truck (gotta love a 24/7 dashcam), but bottom line is the parts have been ordered and his time spent diagnosing was minimal.

The dealer finally did the full TSB the 3rd time around (about 3 moths ago). Squeak is finally gone for me.

It took several trips and taking it to a second dealership but the last TSB finally resolved my brake squeal. It's been a good 10k miles since that repair and no noise yet (knock on wood). Between fixing the brakes and getting rid of the Bridgestones I'm in love with my truck again!

Just print out the TSB and hand it to them. That's what I did. I told them, "I don't care if you can replicate the problem or not. My issue is verbatim to what's on this sheet" They ordered the kit and problem solved.
What is the TSB#? I’m having the same problem with my 2020 1500 quad cab. 16000 miles. In the process of buying it off the lease and now having 2nd thoughts. Thanks

There are 2 fixes : (1) Moan and (2) Squeak .. I completed them both myself (of course I worked at the dealership and was provided with the Star Case parts.) The Squeak/Squeal was the pads. The Moan was the weird bracket kit they decided to put out. That def. fixed the noise in reverse, but very not-so-user-friendly to install with the u-bolts they provided .. hurts your hands if you aren't prepared for it the first time.
