Careful still explosive either way, or circumstance...I have been having that issue here and there, though not as bad as you. I find if I "pull out" a little, and leave just the tip in, I get better results.....just like I did on my prom night.

Hello everyone, we certainly understand the frustration of this concern! Please do not hesitate to follow up with our team in a private message for additional support during your dealer visit. We would be happy to connect you and your dealer to a specialist as an additional layer of assistance throughout your vehicle service!Thank you Blahargoue for your awareness and documentation of this issue. I have had my 2020 Classic less than 2 weeks. I have only added gas once and was taken back on all the shut offs and the fact I had to stand-by to re-start the pump. I was pumping gas while cars came and went and others came and went. You have opened my eyes, this needs attention.
Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this. I have the same issue. It happened when I first got my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie with 33 gal tank. It only really happened when tank was pretty empty 1/4 tank or less. Now it happens constantly no matter how much gas is in the tank. It will only stay in place for a few seconds. Takes forever to fill up at 1/10th of gallon each click. I will take this info to my Ram dealer and see if I can get fixed. Beyond annoying. Will report back.Ok folks, I'm going to make this my final update unless the problem reoccurs. 6 fill up total now since the repair. Not even so much as a hiccup. All fillups have been with CA's infamous vapor recovery pumps. It appears that the new evap canister did the trick.
Thanks for all your input. My thanks to Thompson Ram in Placerville, CA for sticking with issue and coming up with a solid repair.. I hope this thread will be useful to others.
Yes it is very frustrating!! But replacing the tank is what fixed mine. Continues to work properly...So frustrating. My 2020 Ram Rebel with the 33 gallon tank won’t take fuel. It only has 7,500 miles on it. After waiting weeks to get into a dealer they sent me home with the truck. They have a new tank on order. Said it could take months to get in. It’s parked in the garage with a battery tender. Useless to me.
Yeah I lived with it for a while. Initially did better when it had more than 50% full...then just got worst over time. Then no matter how much gas was in truck, it would only put in 1-3 gallons at at time. So had to deal with it at that time. But if it continues, I highly recommend getting it fixed while Ram recognizes it is an issue and will replace your tank at no cost. They will need to order the tank and then takes 1 day to install. Don't want to have to pay to fix later. Good luck...Pretty frustrating. I deal with it every time I gas up. Honestly it’s not bad enough to take it to a dealer yet but I have to fiddle with it before it’ll take fuel then sometimes it still kicks off before full. I’ve quit trying to add more if it’s close to full for fear I’m gonna over fill it. For some reason quik trip fuel pumps seem to work the best for me. If it’s at another station I have to turn it or hold it by hand the whole time
I haven’t asked but is covered past the bumper to bumper? My truck is a 2019 with 30k on it and I’m the 2nd owner so I’d imagine it’s out of the 3 year warranty or very close to itYeah I lived with it for a while. Hmmmm....not sure. I have a 2019 40K miles and they fixed but also original owner. I think they know it is an issue and are fixing as they come up vs doing a recall. Might be worth a call to ur local dealership. Wish I could help more...I haven’t asked but is covered past the bumper to bumper? This scares me. I only have 3,500 miles on my RAM and haven't had an issue with fueling (I had the issue bad with my 2019). That being said I filled up yesterday and was surprised that it stopped exactly on $100.00. I thought it may just be luck but I got in my truck and it was slightly less than full (26 gallon tank). I'm really hoping this isn't a sign of having the gas tank issue with my 2021 as well...I had to take mine in multiple times to fix...was a PITA. 1. They changed the fuel throat (think it was called)....but did not fix it. 2. They replaced my gas tank. Now it finally works properly w/o stopping on fuel. I have a 33 gallon tank and live in CA, so now it stops at $100 and still not full!!! Ugh. But I guess that it is good that it is not stopping every :05 seconds.

Haha...that is just the credit limit that the gas station has provided for you paying by credit card. I experience this a lot in CA and gas prices at $5/gallon along with a 33 gallon tank. Some gas stations out here limit at $100 or $125. Ugh.This scares me. I only have 3,500 miles on my RAM and haven't had an issue with fueling (I had the issue bad with my 2019). Yep this makes sense. Southern California gas prices...A lot of gas stations have a $100 limit per swipe. That's why some fill-ups with bigger fuel tanks (or expensive gas prices) are called "double-swipe" fill-ups, because you will need to swipe your card again to top off.
May attempt to change the canister if anyone has had success with this?Has anyone had any luck with this? All lines are clear, pressure sensor good, going to the dealership next week but is out of warranty at 38k.
