That Eco Score app is sketchy at best.
This was my result after a short trip.

Sounds pretty good for a motor with only 300 miles on it EXCEPT my dash mpg average was only 18.6 mpg for the same trip.

Funny thing is the Eco number was still climbing over 27 mpg when the live readout meter on the dash was steadily holding at about 15-18 mpg.
I know it's summertime in NC with daytime highs often hitting in the mid- to upper-90s. But, since I only have 3.21s, I've stopped using the air conditioning so I won't stall or bog. Sure, the wife complains about sweating through her clothing, but the other benefit is the increase in mileage. I think I went from ~26.5 combined to ~26.51 combined.
Not only is the engine freed of excessive accessory drag, but I'm saving literally thousands of dollars in fuel costs each month!
Win-win!
If you can go without your headlights, you eliminate all those photons pushing your truck back as they launch themselves forward to light up the road. That'll boost that mileage up even more!I know it's summertime in NC with daytime highs often hitting in the mid- to upper-90s. It was still climbing when I stopped. Another 10 miles of driving and I would have been the new “Fuel Economy Champion”.35.1 mpg. So close.
Let's do this.It was still climbing when I stopped. Another 10 miles of driving and I would have been the new “Fuel Economy Champion”.
Better watch out….I’m gunnin’ for ya buddy.
I think it’s funny your eco score was so good with that mpg. Mine doesn’t even give a score. Maybe I’m not doing something right.
If your running in 4 low with Hill Descent Control and 3.92’s I’ll likely beat you.Let's do this.
I'll be in Vegas in August and hear Mt. Charleston is great for downhill mpg.
How's it coming up with thise numbers, is it calculating something different than fuel consumption? My first interstate commute at 35+ mpg.
Yeah right. LMAO

No idea. It’s one of those mysteries I guess. All I know is it’s bogus. How's it coming up with thise numbers, is it calculating something different than fuel consumption?
With 3.21, every little bit helps! If you can go without your headlights, you eliminate all those photons pushing your truck back as they launch themselves forward to light up the road. That'll boost that mileage up even more!
Great explanation for those of us who aren't "gear heads", LOL!
