AlfaOBD

I have a question for anybody that has installed the aftermarket led projector lights. Did anyone go in and adjust the voltage settings outside of enabling led headlights in the bcm? I just don't feel like my lights are as brights as they should be and it's already at 12v according to alfa. I just don't want to go crazy and change something wrong and burn up my lights lol. I already messaged recon but they weren't much help and didn't want to give out the voltage rating on the lights.

Have you tried contacting the company that made them?

These are the ones I purchased from them.
I’m not saying I’ll solve your issue, but I’ll do some digging. Tag me if someone else solves it before I get back to you.

I do have one question- did you manually check voltages?

Edit: I see these are smoked lenses. If they are DOT legal, then recon should have a lumen output spec sheet saved somewhere.

I haven't yet. That's one thing I don't have is a multimeter. I'll have to see if I can get a hold of one to use.

Edit- I didn't think about that part, they are supposed to be DOT approved anyways 😂. I'll do some looking also to see if I can find that.

I contacted them to ask also. I’m interested in seeing if they say anything. Information about them is definitely lacking.

I appreciate it. Yeah I was told the resistance of the headlights will work for with my truck and nothing else after that. Very lacking for sure. Hopefully you have better luck with them.

I’m having a heck of a time with the auto temp control. I set it to dual ATC, and lost the ability to control anything on the climate screen and the dual display never showed. I disabled the ICS and enabled the DCSD, dual temp showed up but I still don’t have any control over the climate settings. Tried resetting everything back to default, but nothing is reverting. 2019 Ram Bighorn with the Phoenix 13.6” radio and infotainment climate control kit.

Sounds like a call to infotainment is in order

They told me they’re DOT approved, but won’t give me expected lumen outputs. I can’t help you in any meaningful way except to say check all voltages and measure lumen output. Probably would’ve been a good idea to get a baseline with the stock lights first. You’re essentially trying to eliminate variables until you have a high confidence of what the issue is. That gives you ammo for arguing with recon the next time you call them.

I appreciate you for at least being able to get that out of them. Thanks brother. If I get crazy I can put one of the oems back in once it warms up outside.

Still can’t connect. It says it’s “connected: device model not detected“

Have either of you tried connecting to an older MY? If you don’t need to access the digital instrument cluster, then you can try a different one.
