AlfaOBD Known Changes 5th Gen

This was a thing a while back but I don't know if it was fixed.

Is your AlfaOBD up to date?

I even tried the OBDlink MX+. Still can't connect to "comfort" module.

Nandalora, I noticed Jimmy is using the Windows version. Are you using an Android phone or tablet? Maybe the problem is it only works on Windows.

Update - so I emailed info@alfaOBD asking about the issue of connecting to the comfort module on the Android app and asked if they could refund me so I could buy the windows version. Alexey refunded it, but didn't say anything about this being a known issue....I wonder if anyone has had success connecting to the comfort module from an Android tablet?

So I guess I'll try downloading the windows version. Just need to find an old laptop in my house that works...

I tried for awhile last year, emailed them back and forth with no answers, either they don't really understand that the Android version has this issue...............or, they don't care. I guess it's hot enough in the mornings now that I won't worry about until the Fall!

I did ask Alexey of this was a known issue and he said "no". If I can successfully connect with the windows version I'll let him know and suggest he fixes the Android app.

I am unable to connect to comfort via Android as well using an MX+.

I can connect via windows but some comfort parameters (such as auto on temp) just refuse to be modified as shown in this post 574. I either get the error shown in that screenshot or a statement that says the parameter cannot be modified in active diagnostics.
Other parameter setpoint values that I input in comfort do not yield set points being confirmed that match what was actually input. Something seems odd for sure.
