There are several threads on here regarding the AC not working like it should. Ram won’t do anything about it til enough people raise hell. I don’t know how you guys in S Texas are dealing with this on a brand new truck!

This, more than anything, seems like a programming error. It’s hot and annoying now, but it can actually make people sick in winter weather!Hot day in TX and I just noticed the "winter behavior" for the first time in the heat. Truck was hot and just would not even blow what it's capable of in terms of cold air for 10-12 minutes and then it woke up and noticeably dropped in temp output. I was driving 55-60 the whole time so it was not an airflow difference or just took a while to cool off. It just all of a sudden started blowing noticeably colder air like it does on longer trips.
Didn't have any thermometers to document actual temps but this is exactly the same behavior I and others have noticed in the winter where it would blow cold air for ~10 min and then start warming up when on the Auto setting. I've not previously noticed this since colder winter weather but it seems to be doing the same thing. It's almost like there is a programmed delay timer on the interior temp sense so that you have to be driving for 10 minutes before it takes the interior temp and gets to work.
Well I can confirm that my label is potentially wrong as well, and I have the same issues with poor A/C performance. Mine was built 12/18.Have you guys seen this thread about the charge label being wrong on the trucks? That easily leads to techs stating you have the correct amount when you actually don't.
HVAC Squeak after truck is shut down
What is everyone so worried about? I have an old 5.9 Cummins and I have never known one to not squeak the belt on shutdown. It is the sound of excellence. “Oil leak? What oil leak? That is just sweat from all that horsepower.”5thgenrams.com
Or 567g.There were a few posts that tech authority had the DT service manual available (without wiring diagrams). I have never used them, so for anyone that has, are the HVAC service details included where we can at least confirm if it states 510g or 515g there?
Just saw this thread. Are some of you guys not following the AC Hack thread? All of us there who installed the valve or the lesser fix (IMHO) of a clamp are enjoying cold A/C. RAM is telling us 55F outlet is within spec so I don't believe we're going to see any further action on their part. It's BS we have to do this to a brand new truck but it's one of those things you do and then forget about and go about enjoying your truck. Just remember to take the valve out (2 minute job) before service work and open it fully in fall / winter.

Thanks @Tom488 . So the dealer description on the service post was wrong and our stickers were right. As I expected. (Unless there's an even bigger conspiracy, lol) Either way, this is why Im hesitant to take the squeal to the dealer since my AC is working well. The original poster said that the dealer's "fix" actually resulted in an inoperable ac condenser that is backordered. From the service manual:

Just finished an 800 mile round trip, from Houston to MS and back, in 95 + degree weather. By and large the temp in the drivers side vent never got below 60 deg, but we were ok, as long as the seat fans were on.
Coming back however I noticed a strange trait. I have the AC set to auto, and 70 degrees. All of a sudden the vents start to blow warm air, and I have to turn the temp setting down to 65 to get it to blow cold again................. back up to 70............ok for a while.................warm air again......................rinse and repeat !
This truck is really starting to make me wonder about the AC function..................Ram had better hurry up and sort this out........I won't take too many summers of this nonesense
Yeah - I'm very skeptical of that work order... .0515 vs .0567? What's he measuring in? Deca-kilograms? 510g is .51Kg, not .051.So the dealer description on the service post was wrong and our stickers were right.

However, the difference between .515g and .567g is .125lbs, or the difference between 1.125lbs. and 1.25lbs. So, is a 2oz. undercharge (0.125lbs = 2 oz.), or 10%, enough to make such a difference? I'm not sure... but I doubt it.
