Correct! H7 and 94 are as well.Looks like. H8 and 49 are pretty much interchangeable.

If your truck has the eco diesel or the e torque or even the stop and go feature it will have an AGM, if you have a regular non e torque hemi it’s just lead acid. With this entire feed, I'm still wondering.....Do we have an AGM Battery? I found nothing except battery contains Sulfuric Acid? Anyone know for certain?
I just put an Everstart H8 into my Jeep Summit. That had a AGM H7, still works but its 6 years old. Not going to get stuck.
I’ve used duralast before. They’ve been good batteries. Edit: autocorrectHey guys I have read all ya'lls post and now I can be put on this list also. My battery is Dead. I dont have a Costco near by but a ton of Autozone's. What do yall think of a Duralast Platinum AGM Battery H8-AGM Group Size 49 $249
I agree.I’ve used duralast before. There been good batteries
Agree. Put an different size X2 in our start/stop SUV and its great.Gotcha! Thanks for the response! I’ll see how this interstate battery lasts and if it does well - great! If not, I’ll definitely consider an x2 next time around
X2 is AWESOME...pricey, but there is no better battery!Agree. Put an different size X2 in our start/stop SUV and its great.
More specially, very few batteries on the market are "pure lead" plates. X2 is one of them.
ok thanks. I will check it out. My only concern was leaving something connected with power for such a long period of time and not being there. There is a lot of information in this thread
Basically:
1. new vehicles use a certain amount of milliamps by design, which will discharge the battery over time
2. lead acid batteries discharge at a faster rate than AGM
3. If you disconnect the battery, I believe you could be OK depending on the state of the battery (old, previous discharged vs new and charged prior to disconnect)
4. a battery maintainer will keep the battery charged, which is healthier for battery longevity
5. Based on research and personal experience I recommend a battery maintainer with a "desulfate" feature.
The thread above, with links to information, covers the points more in depth.
I and fellow forum members have used them for years on various vehicles and equipment. I have not heard of any bad experiences. I have it on my motorcycles and snow blowers year round. Be aware that some are for specific batteries (only AGM - one I have) and some specifically states "not for use on lithium ion". I have various brands, Battery Tender, Battery Minder, Duracell and some others I believe. They come in various amp rating and as stated previously recommend "desulfate". In one of the threads is a picture of the one that restored my battery from "replace" to "good".ok thanks. I will check it out. I have a pair of older NOCO Genius chargers. They work great. Use a smaller model for my motorcycle and a larger for the car or truck when needed.Hi guys. I work away at sea for extended periods of time, around 4months. I am debating whether or not to either disconnect the battery from my RAM 1500 or look at some kind of smart intligent charger like the NOCO Genius10. Anyone got expeirience using one of these? Is it safe? The idea is it will go into maintenance mode and just top up the battery as and when required, it won't overcharge if ambiant temps are hot or under charge of cold. The charger can be kept under the hood and plugged in to an outlet in the garage. I'm a 2022 Limited regular 5.7 without e-torque and I think my battery is just a standard LA battery and not AGM, although I cannot verify this for sure.
Thanks guys, I think it's the way forward.Another Noco Genius user and very happy.
