Unless you had a tune to adjust the electric fan temperature, your engine still saw 220+ temps with a colder thermostat.Well said about the oils, however from an Automotive Machinist point of view, Aluminum starts to crack @ 230* especially around valve seats. Perhaps there are better aluminum alloys these days but if so I am unaware of such. I replaced the 203* stat in my 2003 Hemi as I was uncomfortable with that temp. Did that the first year and keep it that way until Dec 2024 when I purchased the my new one. My have suffered a minor hit in fuel mileage before the tune,
