TLDR; After dealer visit my Adaptive Cruise isn’t working with the error in the title. Anyone else have issues?

Took my truck to the dealer to finish some “We Owe” stuff and do a couple TSB’s.

Work Done:
Installed Power Side Steps and flashed sales code.
Installed Trailer Brake Controller

TSB for HK Volume
TSB for sudden brake assist when in reverse
Asked them to inspect Lane Sense to see if camera can be recalibrated after lift as it does not work as well as before the lift.
Alignment

Somewhere in there (Lane Sense would be my guess) they have completely disabled the Adaptive Cruise Control and the Forward Collision Warning. Shortly after the truck starts I get the two orange icons in the picture below that appear to show them as disabled. If I attempt to turn on FCW in the UConnect settings it checks the box and after about 2 seconds beeps at me and unchecked it. If I attempt to turn on ACC while driving I get the message “ACC/FCW Unavailable Service Required”.

They are aware of the issue and have ordered a new “module”. They said it would take a week to get the part and then they would need to keep it for a week so they can drive it everyday to program it. They already put over 80 miles on my truck in the 2 days it was there.

Outside of letting them do their thing I just wanted to reach out to see if others have had issues with either ACC or FCW and how it was remedied because it seems to be a grasping at straws situation going on at my dealership and ACC was the single most important must have when I purchased this truck.

For a little more backstory, this is my second 19. I traded in a Limited to go to the Laramie because I had all kinds of problems with the 12 inch screen and finally just had enough. I hope this is an easy fix and will be behind me in 2 weeks time but I envision a scenario where this drags on and I ultimately get sick of this truck too. Which would be unfortunate because this is the first vehicle I have had where I went all out to get it to how I wanted it to be.

Oh, and as you can see in the picture on my drive home from the dealership I received an error to service the Tire Pressure System as one of the wheels just completely fell off the map. This came back after a battery pull and a couple of starts and a trip around the block.

I am having similar issue now. FCW warning came up, ACC and lane sense stopped working

I brought it in and they said the entire module is broken and needs replacement. Wouldn’t let me drive off the lot. Takes 3 days to get the part. Also just found out about the recall on the airbags.

Had two Tundras since 2000... never had to go to dealer. Had my Ram Limited for 7 months and third recall and now in the shop for 3 days. Btw, did I mention the passenger door and lift gate are sagging. Accidentally ran across NHTSA page on Ram 1500. 10 recalls so far and several scary complaints of losing steering control or loss of all electrical in the vehicle.

Very concerned. Love the way it drives, feels and tows.... don’t have any confidence in its value or durability in 2 years.

Are you sure you have all 4 wheels still on the truck? Ya' never know after a service... What tires are you running with 56# pressure?

Sorry to hear about your 12" screen issues, though it's certainly understandable that staying with a more "tried and true" screen (8.4) is smart, just like the rest of the first year tech and drivetrain changes...
I gave a family member a recommendation to wait till the 2020's are out to purchase his RAM, partially for the supposed new tailgate (even tho' that's going to be new) but mostly for all the tech to be debugged. While I am confident that March 2019 or later build dates will have a lot of TSB's applied at the factory already, one never knows...

I think i posted something similar to this issue. My issue was a speed sensor that was replaced by the dealer.

I just bought a 19 2500 6.7 with 20 miles on it. My ACC died 20 miles later, no cruise at all now. Dealer said it is the front camera module. I was also told there were no recalls for airbags. Another dealer said there was a hi altitude problem over 11k elevation, putting the diesels in limp mode. This was said to be bs by other dealers.

Build date 11-19. I also have the ACC/FCW message. Cliffrdavis did your issue get fixed?

Well I'm now having similar issues. 2019 Ram Laramie. I've had more problems with this truck and I'm so fed up with it. I never had problems like this with my 2013 Laramie. I got rid of my 2013 because the screen that showed my speed/compass,etc was going out. They would have kept the truck for 3weeks-6months because it had to be ordered and program at factory. Zero miles could be put on truck once it was ordered for odometer reasons. Now back to my 2019. The first snow storm of year (last week) and I start truck and notice its in 2WD. I knew that was off since I was running 4 auto earlier. Then I get error of 4 wheel drive needs service, ESC needs service, FCW unavailable, both 4wd high and 4wd low were blinking, and no cruise control at all. Dodge dealership in Lincoln, NE cant look at it until tomorrow. I thought the 12 inch screen headache was the last big issue I would have. Nope I was wrong. I won't post all of the pics. I like Dodge trucks and want to get rid of this truck. But am I going to run into the same crap with another 2019 Laramie or Limited that I have now? Who knows. Semper fi

I had my FCW/LKA/ACC replaced at 10k miles, shortly after I had my front hub locker for my 4wd go out. My build month was 2/2020. I have to go back to the dealer tomorrow because they broke my sunvisor hinge so it just dangles from the cord. Fun times.

Hey Mark, I really appreciate it. The truck is at Dodge dealership getting worked on right now. Saturday I received a call saying they have a team of engineers working on it. In a nutshell the service tech said there are some modules that aren't communicating with the main computer system. If my internal cluster on my 2013 wasn't going out I'd still have that truck. I loved that truck. When I get more specific information I'll let you know. Now about your message. I don't know what that means "our team is a private message away and we are more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf for further support as you work with your dealer." I'm new to this (posting stuff in forums) so forgive me for not knowing what you mean by escalate a case on my behalf. I will always accept all of the help and information I can get. Thank you Mark. I truly and sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time to follow up with me! By escalating a case on your behalf to a customer care specialist, this will provide the dealership and yourself with an individual who will review your concern, then assist you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved.

Based on your message, it sounds like your dealer has all hands on deck in getting this concern resolved. However, we are truly always more than willing to get a case escalated on the customer care side so that all outlets of support are being exhausted in your situation.

Please do not hesitate to reach back out with any additional questions!

Good morning. They figured out this issue. Its a very unusual one. Chrysler said its very uncommon and my Dodge dealership has never seen this. The ABS module was somehow sending bad signals that was screwing up all other components. Usually the PCM sends out commands to all of the other modules to do specific functions. The ABS somehow got involved and started interrupting the commandsto the PCM. Thats how.my service tech explained it to me. I'll get the error codes and explanation from the sheet later on. Now I'm getting service 4wd alert. He's looking into it. I'll keep you updated on further advancements on these issues.

Semper fi,
Dave

Just picked up new 2500 Limited. No sooner driving it off the lot (seriously, it’s at 23 miles) this issue shows up. Going back to the dealership tomorrow at the advise of my sales person but I was planning on hitting the road for my 1,500 mile drive home. This is my second 5th gen ram (first one leaked through sunroof and is being bought back), and I’m not impressed... hope I’m not stranded.

I’ll post a follow up if I learn anything.

Stay safe out there.

The module in the rear view mirror (where the FCW/ACC cameras are) is bad. No part in stock, much like the other posts above. They’re seeing what they can do to pillage one from another dealership in the area, but either way, sets me way behind schedule for the drive home. At least another hotel and missing Thanksgiving with the family. Is what it is.

Shocking this is a problem in brand new trucks. I get that 2020 is a year unlike any other, but I never had any issues with my 2012 big horn. Since I upgraded it’s been one thing after the other. Guess all the worry about so much tech is not unfounded.

Stay safe.

Happy thanksgiving everyone.

Dealership swapped the rear view modules and FCW/cruise control worked as advertised for two days. Suddenly, on the flattest, straightest roads you can imagine (salt flats, Utah) it kicks off and I get the same warnings.

Not a clue now what the issue could be. Dash says “ESC” (electronic stability control) is active... hm.

Back to the dealership when I get home. About had it with these Ram trucks. The flashy interior is vastly outweighed by basic issues. What a headache.

I see this is an older thread I am having the same issue with my 2021 Laramie. My dash shows the following message. " AUTO EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB) UNAVAILABLE WIPE FRONT RADAR SENSOR" Where is the Front Radar Sensor location. I CAN NOT find anything on the web to assist,. Dealer stated " That wont be covered by your extended warranty"

Please Help. If you need more info to assist me please let me know.

THANK YOU
