4WD Auto vs. 2WD normal driving - Poll

I only have 2200 miles so - Only time I used 4WD Auto (two weeks ago) when it was raining cats and dogs and lot of water was on the road surface of the highway. I only plan to use for wet and snow conditions. I think its an overkill for just highway cruising, and putting wear on parts.

I only use 4wd auto on snow and ice otherwise I leave it in 2wd, never needed it rain with my Continental Terrain Contact tires.
