3.92 posi, baby, oh yeah!!Wait, isn’t spinning the rear wheels whenever possible a good thing![]()
3.92's can do that too
But 3.21’s can also make 20+ mpg3.92's can do that too![]()
Coming from a 2018 Tundra 5.7 with 4.30 Rear AND driving both the 3.21 and 3.92 Ram 1500 , i would say that the 3.92 is more peppy, defined and stout = similar to my Tundra
Three important traits of a strong work truck - lol
3.21 is great all around use except for the factual points that has been elevated on here.
Thank you-all for the good laughter
Not to rain on your parade, but I've feathered out as high as 23.5mpg on one tank (one only, took too much effort)! But 3.21’s can also make 20+ mpg![]()
3.55s and 3.92s were a $95 option on DT Hemis..I know I've seen a couple signatures on this forum with them. Seems few split the difference and picked the 3.55s though for some reason.the 2025's have 355's why not meet in the middle? whos is gonna be the first to put 355 in a hemi truck?

I stand corrected3.55's weren't available with the 5.7, only the ecodiesel and the v6 IIRC
